What happened with this guy? We signed him in '09 or '10, I can't remember and then he didn't qualify academically so he went to CSU-Pueblo. However, I saw his facebook page and it says his location and school as UNC. Is he going to be a Bear in '12? Is it possible he redshirted last season? He would have had to if he transfered up from D2. He was a highly recruited receiver coming out of high school. We could use him at that position because remember, Jace isn't coming back to UNC.

Showed up on the CSU Pueblo roster as a wr for 2010 season, but didn't post any stats. He was listed in the media guide as a QB, but maybe that's just a mistake, since he signed with them so late.

Graduated Bear Creek HS in 2010. Profile says "Signed a Letter of Intent to play at Division I Northern Colorado, but instead opted for CSU-Pueblo prior to his freshman season."

Here's a review from when he signed with UNC the first time:

Armoni Brewington, WR, 6-1, 190, Fresh, Denver, Colo. (Bear Creek)

If you believe Rivals.com, the sizable receiver from Bear Creek, a traditional powerhouse at the 5A level in Colorado football, received two scholarship offers from FBS schools (Minnesota and Colorado State). After a quiet junior season (31 catches for 488 with eight touchdowns), Brewington emerged as a senior, catching 78 passes for 1,095 yards and 14 touchdowns on the way to becoming a first team all-state selection. His late bloom could be a big reason he flew under most schools’ radars. His highlight film shows that he’s a fearless receiver, very willing to run routes over the middle and use his size to compete for balls in traffic. He’s got the size to contribute right away and according to Rivals.com, who claim he runs a 4.5 in the 40, he may have the speed as well. It’s also very worth noting that he placed eighth in the state of Colorado at the high jump, meaning he probably has a solid burst off the line of scrimmage. Keep your eye on this kid.

I think, if he's going to be a Bear, he has 3 years to play 3 left.

He went to CSU-p his first year out of highschool and transferred to UNC this year where he played on the scout team and sat out per NCAA transfer rules. As far as I know he's coming back next year and has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
