Something I've noted since someone posted a listing of "outstanding sophomores and freshmen" in FCS after last season... we don't talk about defense. Those lists, from what I saw, really lacked Big Sky players.

Of course, if we look at the West overall, the only entities seemingly playing defense in big games last year were Leighton Vander Esch of Boise State (now Pittsburgh Steelers), occasionally UW, and debatably Weber.

I look at the first three stories... offense, offense, offense. Um...

Big Sky is not noted for its defense. Actually the DI conferences (Pac-12, Mtn West) in the west are not noted for defense either. Shootouts are the norm around here.

Spoken like a true Bobcat fan. I know he says he isn't, but, well,

It is going to feel so good when we beat them. :thumb:

Q: What is the difference between a Griz fan and a Cat fan?
A: Griz fans at least know what they are talking about. Cat fans drink beer better, however.

Well I don't know about beating MSU but, I'm betting we come out of the College of Idaho game in Hillsboro with a hard fought win.

We are 3-20 in our last 23 games. Barney Ball is totally deflated. I am beginning to wonder why we even bother having football, the stadium situation is terrible and won't get any better. With new basketball arena it might be best to throw more money in that direction. I just don't see PSU football being relevant in the Portland market.

You are probably correct in your analysis. Neither the general public, nor the student body, nor Mr Paulson, nor the City of Portland, nor either the PSU general or athletic administration has demonstrated a real interest in PSU football. Maybe just give it up is best.

D2 is a possibility, the GNAC for all sports. If D2 is good enough for San Francisco State maybe it is good enough for us.

I'm really tired of this.

Interesting thought process. This city wants major league baseball, and NFL football. But DI college football? No, thank you. :tothehand:
