Coach Warren has a great point in this article. The image of the Big Sky goes through Montana, Montana State and Eastern and if any of those teams are "down" the WHOLE conference is down. Regardless of how good the teams who won the conference are. Both SUU and Weber were top 10 teams last year but neither really got any respect till the season ended.

However having said that, NAU getting butt-raped by non-scholie San Diego at home does nothing to help the conference's image.

I would be happier with a few less teams in the big sky. The return of Idaho just makes things that much more crowded.

I think the reason the coaches all said they are happy Idaho is back is because their return is actually a step toward that.

Getting a charter member back gives the Big Sky one more team that most of the other core members want in the league, in turn making it less difficult to have a solid league if other teams leave or the league is restructured or teams are forced out.
