I'm guessing they'll go after Beau.

We will not lose him to MSU. He will get another raise though, which he deserves despite the record this year.

There was more of a chance of Baldwin going to Montana than there is of him going to MSU. At the FCS level, I see Baldwin staying with EWU until an FBS program comes calling.

maybe prukop will transfer to ewu, he graduates in December and I'm sure he can't be happy with the change...

It would be crazy if Prukop decided to transfer to Eastern. However, it seems like Prukop doesn't want to play for any other coach than Tim Cramsey, their OC. To be fair, emotions are running high.

Maybe Prukop will be recruited to Oregon since they will be looking for a QB. Now if he can just pass his math test!

Based on Cramsey's comments, to me he comes off as the Norv Turner of the BigSky... Hope MSU goes a different direction. Maybe Kramer's available.

Don't think that's too likely.

They must have someone in mind or else they wouldn't have pulled the trigger. Perhaps they court Lamb away from SUU. They could definitely use someone with physical and defensive football chops. You would think they're also looking for someone who can recruit the West Coast and/or Texas like they've done in the past.

Any up and coming DII coaches out there? Can't really think of any BSC coordinators with sustained success.

Just speculating.

Like your thinking. Bring in more coaching talent into the BigSky.

Like this Coach... a lot. If we lost Coach B, this guy would be on my short list.

When the rumors of Beau leaving were at their highest last season, Wristen was the guy who intrigued me the most. The only issue I see with him is would he want to leave? He played at Pueblo when it was Southern Colorado, he was born in Colorado, and he's been the one the build up the program since it came back into existence.

Time and place for nearly anything. Wouldn't object to Paul Wulff either. Suspect he has learned alot in the years since he left and believe he is a character guy. Let the caterwauling begin.

No on Wulff. No way whatsoever. The guy got caught cheating at Eastern, and then tried to blame the university for what he did. I don't think anyone around Eastern would support making that move.

Coach Best is the obvious choice. He's an Eastern guy, proven coach, and has aspirations of being a head coach. It would likely be his job to lose. The only potential to have him not get it would be if a guy like Kwiatkowski wanted to come back to Cheney, which I'd say is unlikely. I think Jimmy Lake would be the more likely guy to come from that staff back to Cheney.

How exciting would a Best offense, Lake defense be? Yes, please.

Best is an amazing coach/person and would definitely be my top choice if Beau moves on to bigger things. That said I expect the staff to stick together until we win another National Championship (in the next 4 seasons).

Don't remember what era he played exactly, but I do recall Lake was a very fine defensive back at Eastern. Early 2000's, maybe?

I would be supportive of Best if/when the time comes. I think Hill would a strong case as OC.

This is, of course, assuming Baldwin wouldn't take most of his staff with him. Best might be the exception in that scenario.

Jimmy Lake is a true "good guy". Never heard anything but good stuff since his playing days at EWU.

• 2014-15 – Washington – Defensive Backs
• 2012-2013 – Boise State – Defensive Backs/Passing Game Coordinator
• 2010-2011 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Defensive Backs
• 2008 – Detroit Lions – Defensive Backs
• 2006-2007 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Assistant Defensive Backs Coach
• 2005 – Montana State – Secondary
• 2004 – Washington – Defensive Backs
• 2000-2003 – Eastern Washington – Secondary
• 1999 – Eastern Washington – Undergraduate Assistant

I met him a few times. He's a very outgoing and confident dude. And he's a North Central kid IIRC.

+1 on Jimmy Lake. His mother used to come to the noon coachers' luncheons. She was a nice person, a big Eastern booster, and very good looking!
