Athletic Facilities

Even across the causeway a top ranked FCS program had a mostly empty stadium during their upset loss to Idaho State.
10,973 attendance. So, not mostly empty. Above "capacity" of 10,000.....for whatever that's worth. Still, anything under 13,000 is definitely a disappointment in my personal opinion.

I've said it here before: CFB attendance in California is ROUGH.

I could see Sac St. in the San Diego St. realm of attendance with a cool new stadium with the large Sac population. On good years. The sad fact is: when the W's aren't coming, Sac and Davis are right back down around 50% capacity. Its just a CA thing.

That was your reported attendance, but actual attendance was much lower based on the stadium shots from the endzone that I saw on the replay. Lots of empty seats well into the game.

There aren't many open seats un-used for the MBB games (especially the student side, non-TV side), but there also isn't 3k seats in the Pavilion. The 3k number probably includes the standing room area on the lofts above the baselines.

you are exactly right the place seats 2300 the standing room moves it to 3000k they are selling it out right now so far.

Just say 2,300 then, why do they claim 3,000? Who would stand for three hours watching a game vs Jessup??

Why not just say 22,000 since the rec center is attached to the soon to be demolished Hornet stadium? They can feed the game onto the scoreboard.

Not worth arguing about really, because we all agree attendance numbers are never totally accurate....but I will say the corner sections on the East side tend to look a little sparse because of nature of the stadium. We've had tickets in the corner and watched the entire game on top of the bowl at the 50 yard line on the West side. There are hundreds of people up on the rim and in the beer gardens all game long- not in the their seats or in the camera view. I've been going to games since the place opened and its always been this way.

Maybe. They could have estimated 3k seats based on a conceptual layout and then when the actual design got done there ended up being less actual seats. They put as many seats as the Well would allow so it is what it is.
