Athletic Facilities

It was almost 16,000 - Idaho traveled well, more people trickled in later in game, some left early with wind and rain coming.

Not disputing, but it sure didn't look that way on camera. I know they've got some end zone seating and such, but the Hornets home side was as sparse as I've seen it all season. It did fill in a bit as the first half progressed (per usual), but still noticeably different than the other home games.

While watching some FCS playoff games I saw development at Tennessee Tech so I looked a little deeper…

Project first budgeted for 30 million in 2021. It’s going to be complete in 2026 and complete cost has risen to 57 million, due to supply chain, labor, and more accurate renderings as the project went on. 3 levels, new entrances, press box, club seating and suites and expanded concessions.

Anyways… seeing what they’re building just seems crazy that for $100 million (i think I’ve seen that number in here as our alleged contribution?) we can’t build something quality on the home side and honestly leave the away side as upgraded bleachers and start a phase 2 plan for future developments when money can be earmarked from FBS conference revenue/media deals.

It sounds like also for a separate $15 million, They’re getting a new 40,000 square foot football operations center separate from the stadium with locker rooms, meeting rooms, auditorium, lounges, and new sports medicine facility.

Like I said it’s hard to imagine $100 million can’t get us in the right direction.

Couldn’t find a ton of renderings but here’s the best I found

Wood/Orr have to keep the damn track. That is probably the main reason they moved locations. Move T&F to Cal Expo.

DECEMBER 1, and no news on any front... But...

We're essentially getting the Tennessee Tech home side with CE, and the Hawaii temporary stadium all the rest of the way around....

This type of Article is the exact reason why things never get done in this area. People here are so short sighted. Is Wood being ambitious yes, but its out of love for his University and the community and its just sad that people don't get it. I hope like hell that the FBS move comes to fruition. Whether on campus or CE that doesn't matter to me . Just get something done for the University and the Sacramento Area PERIOD.

How the hell is the local news trying to troll sac st?! No support, gross. I don’t live in that area anymore but I am surprised at how small a minded the local media is there. They just suck and totally play to the cow town mentality
It is written by a current student, that's why. A current student needs to submit an op-ed in rebuttal.

These kids seem to forget how many CSU campuses are available across the state. Each is unique in many ways. Including Sports. All levels and if they didn’t want to attend a university with D1 Football they made the wrong selection,

STFU politely, Chico St, Sonoma St, Stanislaus St, SFSU, Easy Bay etc,

Come to school then complain, what a generation we have these days, transfer if you disagree dude.

Is there anybody on this board that has close contact with the administration and can pass along how frustrating and slightly embarrassing it is to be a Hornet fan lately. The false hope, missed timelines, and off the field comments I feel like is enough for an FBS conference to not feel great about bringing us in with them.

Please, just please, announce a real timeline, stick to it, I don’t even care at this point if it’s an on/off campus stadium or FCS/FBS next season. I just want to feel good that an actual plan is coming to fruition and we can stop living in limbo.

They know. And I think they are just as frustrated and embarrassed at this point. I still think they're doing everything they can, but I think there's legitimate worry that none of these plans are going to come through.
