I'm gonna break down just a few fallacies here...
"Congrats to them for having a Div 1 athletic dept with ONE secretary for the WHOLE DEPT! I'm sure the coaches love taking the time out of game planning , practice planning, to type up those letters, fix the copy maching, fill out the forms, answer all the calls, take messages for each other, MISS the important recruits calls, need I go on further?" ... You blamed Jeff for this, but Paul actually was the one who eliminated those positions.
"Must be fun for the teams to travel like junior college players with 8 hour [or longer] bus rides" ... The trip to Idaho sucked, granted, but if we flew, it would have only been seven hours (Three to Boise, 2 1/2 in the airport, 1 for the flight, 30 minutes to get bags, 1 hour to Moscow).
"eating fast food when there is enough subway to go around[ask tingey bout that!]" ... I'm on every trip, and I have no clue what you are implying here. The one thing we do really well on the trips is eat. The food has been first class all the way actually.
"What a great college experience for those athletes to do their own practice gear laundry" ... I don't know one player who does his own practice gear laundry. They all turn it in to Jim Slaughter in the equipment room
Wear 4 year old uniforms, buy their own athletic shoes, coaches drive athletes in their own cars to games ... the football uniforms are brand new, and only women's basketball wore older uniforms last year, and that was by Newlee's choice, since they had only wore that set for a few games prior to the Nike contract being signed. I bought my own cleats and goalie gloves in college, but each program has a Nike show allotment, no coaches drive their own cars to games, unless they choose to do so.
Just setting the record straight on those.....
