To All,
Your entries about the Johnson Twins are "Outstanding". I really enjoyed reading all of your entries. They are such "Outstanding Young Men, respectable, etc. Go to http:/www.swxrightnow.com, there are interviews with Jeff Minnerly, and Bo Levi Mitchell. I swear Bo was into auctioning some time in life   . They both did great on the SWX. :thumb: :thumb: In case any of you are interested, MSU/UNC are on Altitude TV @ 12:30pm. We need some help the top.

Game will be on Radio @6:05pm, will listen on the radio/Computer if possible. Go Eagles Vic Wallace

As per the coaches show last night, there are only about 200 tickets left for the game this weekend. Buy 'em up now and bring as many folks with you as humanly possible!

That's awesome! Should be another great atmosphere.

That is awesome. We can always fit a few hundred more in that place. 9,000 would be a good figure. Weren't there like 10,700 for the MSU game? Can't remember if they put additional bleachers in the south endzone for that or not?

Not in the south end zone but they did add a couple of small bleachers in the corners on the north end.

Yep they did AND thats where they put the student athletes parents for the game !!!! Great job Kirby !

The parents of our players will never get special treatement from our ticket office. Tickets have been on sale for months. If parents were to get special treatment, that is obviously an NCAA infraction. Think before you post, especially if you are going to criticize our ticket manager, who puts in more than enough hours to help build our program. The job that has been done in our tailgate area has been extraordinary but folks still complain because things aren't like they used to be. I for one am happy about the changes, even if it is a little bit more of a challenge to find a free place to park. Our facilities are getting better and the revenue our ticket manager has helped find is crucial to our future plans.

I, for one, think Troy Kirby is awesome. Can't argue with the fact attendances are way up at Eastern. Results matter.

I for one, am sick of hearing people moan and complain about the way things are being ran this season for EWU football games!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is not the EWU football gameday experience that it was even as short as two years ago! It has changed and it has changed for the better!! People whining because they can't just walk up 15 minutes before the game and buy tickets, or drive up an hour before the game and pack behind the press box. Games are selling out, and the lots are full of true EWU fans enjoying the full game day experience and that is the way it should be!!! :thumb: No more of these 4,000 to 5,000 people crowds because the weather is bad or people would rather go watch those god for saken horrible cougars down south! This is the NEW eastern football, so either get on board or go away!!!

And p.s. well done Troy and company for all of your efforts!! Let's all work together to expand Roos field!!

As a parent, I don't expect special treatment ... And, remember, player's passes are just that, a player's benefit that they earned and can chose to give to parents or friends. That said, they shouldn't be the worst seats in the stadium just because the school has to provide them. If, however, you want seats that allow you to see the game and see it comfortably, spring for season tickets --and join the EAA!

Ditto the kudos to Troy K! :D

I think flyingnail's comments were a little tongue-in-cheek, but I agree, anyone who complains about the way things used to be clearly isn't seeing the big picture. We don't want things the way they used to be, we want sold out games every game. People are just going to have to get used to having to buy tickets a little earlier, showing up a little earlier - very minor issues in the grand scheme of things, and definitelg worth it to watch a game in a sold out stadium. To put things in perspective, there are Montana fans that wait on the season ticket waiting list for several years. We don't have it so bad.

I think we will have to expand the upper parking lot at some point, though.

Bad seats happen because student-athletes don't remember their parents until Friday night before the game. The first round of putting together a huge player pass happens on Friday about 1-2p. Otherwise it could not be arranged with the feedback tastes of our parents (I.e. We like player A tickets all together, even the 46 he gets transferred by other players).

I can always shut off my phone around midnight when players call because they "forgot" to add someone, but I don't. Objects in the mirror may be closer than we appear.

We do the best we can.

Just like the tailgate where people want multiple cars in their spots (although the fire dept wants space to clear fire lanes by using the open spots for people, not additional cars).

As Marc Hughes always tells me, we are in a growth phase. It stinks, but we are about to set the all-time season average for attendance. It means we had to accommodate more season ticket holders. We have also sold out three out of four games. Something has to give and we do what we can with player pass. I don't like them to have bad seats either but a large contingent of those on the list never show and make the stands look empty anyway.

I would rather have it this way and put up with it. Lest you as a student-athlete parent wish for your child to play in front of empty stands. Your choice.

I'd venture to say that these are good "problems" to have. :)

And a very fine job you do! Thank you for your commitment to Eagle Athletics.
BTW is it in the union bylaws that you can answer your phone after hours?? :D

Ranger, all would be a moot point if we had some east Grandstands that you could watch the game from ! Personally, I cant stand sitting at the games, love to hug the rails, jump up and down and whine about the officiating with the golf master Kalm !!! GOEAGS

If some of you don't already have tickets to the game Columbia tractor still has a few left out in Four Lakes, only visitor side tickets left but for anyone who still needs tickets call to see if they have some. I have company coming and was able to grab 3 this afternoon.

Not a bad idea, at least there would be no beer raining down from the stairwell above !!!
