You're right, this needs to be taken under advisement. I bet there will be great recruitables out there on the playing field.

Les Schwab Bowl: Aloha graduate Prince puts speed on display

Sheldon Prince, Aloha high school, is already a Viking (track scholarship), but he may also play football. I hope to see him on the Jeld-Wen field in uniform this upcoming fall:


He'll use the two-a-day practices at Pacific University in Forest Grove in the week leading up to the game to gauge whether football is still in his future. And Portland State head football coach Nigel Burton will almost certainly be watching. Prince has been in contact with the Vikings coaching staff and said they are interested in him coming out for the team.

"Football used to be my main sport, but then I started excelling in track and I got an offer from Portland State so I just went with that," he said. "But they want me to play football too, so I'm not sure what my plans are yet."

Before the injury, Casey said Prince received an offer from Army (Prince also graduated with a 3.6 grade point average) and interest from Oregon State.

Thanks FG - I'll look for him tomorrow night. I wonder why he's not listed on the roster ? Regardless, it will be interesting to see someone with that kind of speed on either side of the ball. If interest from other schools is any indication we are very fortunate to have him on campus next year.
