Hopefully the Oregon State game. I will attend the butt kickin we will give to Montana. Are the Griz relevant anymore? I don't think they can get past Oklahoma Panhandle State. :D

4 for sure, hoping for 5.... Oregon St., Toledo, Sam Houston, North Dakota...... and hopefully Montana. We'll see how long the Frontier and Southwest sales keep running.

I would go to Montana WAY before any of those others.

I have to disagree... OSU will be fun and, although I don't know much about Toledo football, football is a big deal in the state of Ohio so I would expect that to be a great atmosphere. As for Montana, I know we're supposed to ohh and ahh about the stadium, the noise, the tailgating etc but I always come away thinking that it's massively overrated.

To All,
Right now I am planning on attending 2 away games, that is if there are busses for transportation. Those games are, Oregon State, and Montana. Of course I remembered the game we played OSU, I think it was 2000, when we missed three opportunities to win the game, we missed Field Goals, at that time they had Erickson as their Coach, who was also my son Vic Jr.,Coach at University Of Idaho in the 1980s', Kenny Hobart was the QB at that time, Kenny was known as the "Kamai Kid" (sp). With Gods' willing I will attend all 5 Home Games, and DVR them. Don't forget we have an agreement with DirecTV to televise this year for "Big Sky" I remembered on the OSU Game I was at Holy Cross Cemetery, at my b
Beautiful deceased Wife grave cite listening to the game at about 8:30 pm, and cheering on our team, until I caught myself, and taught of Michael Jackson song "THRILLER", I say no more.     . Have a great morning. Back to the SACK. Be 8-) 8-) 8-) . Vic Wallace

Yep, agree to disagree. IMHO, WGS is more impressive than Husky Stadium and Martin. I've been to Reser but have not watched a game there. I'm sure it's a nice environment. But Missoula is the pinnacle of FCS fan support, the crowd is knowledgeable and electric, and the fans are among the best around.

The wine tasting in Oregon...
...well maybe the Montana brewing company, maker of Moose Drool (Mmm,Mmm good) or the Bayern Brewing company. If you go there DO NOT overlook the Dople Weisen or "Face Plant a Dopleback. Awesome beers!
Aw what the hell, I'm going to both and Toledo and take in a Bassmasters bass tournament my son is competing in while we are there, North Dakota and a family visit and hunting trip, and Cal Poly (wine tasting again).
If we win in either Oregon or Toledo it would be compelling to go to the Sam game.

I always try to make 1-2 games a year, but it doesn't look good for me this season. Last year, I was able to fly up for the WSU game and drive to the SUU game (I think I'm bad luck), but with no games at SUU or NAU....it's looking rough for the fan in the southwest. I don't see another game on the schedule that I can justify the cost for. I've got a trip to Eugene on the radar, however. Just thought I'd vent to those who would understand the pain.

Bayern Brewery? Never heard of a Montana-based brewery called that. I would assume they'd be a weissbier brewer with that name? I could never understand how the Muencheners drank that nasty swill.

And while I'm going "there" scheiss FC Bayern Muenchen. Echte Liebe BVB!

Anyone interested on good beer should check it out. The brewmeister trained at the beer university in Freising Germany. http://www.bayernbrewery.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And of course there is the famous "Stockmans Bar" where they play poker up front and serve liquor in the rear ;).

Would be at every game if time and money were no object - But until we hit the PowerBall jackpot.... just trying to get the boys some fan support in locations where there's not likely to be many EWU fans in the stands.... I will have to buy a new cowbell tho - we broke a brand new one at the Montana game last season. :D

On a side note, the man-child has been home for 2 weeks and has packed on 15 pounds so far...
Working out every day, and some good home cookin' -

Is it August yet????

I just flew to Toledo earlier this month and I was very surprised at the prices. I ended up using Alaska Air miles and flew into the TOL airport on a red eye for only 12,000 miles one way. I flew back on Southwest from Detroit(an hour drive) to Spokane for around $250. I could have flown Alaska round trip for 20,000 miles but I wanted to leave for home as late as possible. For those who use air miles, these were great deals. This was for weekend travel not middle of the week. I have not checked prices for the game but I just wanted to pass along the info for those interested.

Geez, I wish I could still whoop it up over the addition of 15 pounds...

He said a quiet, and heart-felt goodbye to his 6 pack abs, and is embracing the physique of the o-lineman.
He assured the 6-pack that they would see each other again at the end of his NFL career.
