Baldwin salary

Frankly I would have expected more at a Pac 12 school. Yes he has basically doubled his salary but cost of living in the Bay area is through the roof, now he has to pay California income tax in addition to much larger chunk out of his check for fed income tax.

When you consider all of the incentives and retention it is a sweeter deal. According to USA Today he is about 66 among all assistants just behind Alex Grinch @ WSU.

Still probably a good move to get up to the next level and show how talented he really is.

That's the key. As I've said a nauseam for years to people, with Baldwin, it's not about the money. If he proves he can coach at this level (which he will), he'll be a head coach within 3-4 years at a power 5 program and be making more than double his current salary.

Oregon State, in 3 to 4 years. Our old AD, Scott Barnes knows what coach Beau can do. He will have to recruit some QB's first, Eastern has two better QB's than Cal. right now, but he will get it done.
