very sterile celebration considering he was juiced for most of his career.. I really think this record is an after thought..bummer.. I still remember when Rose broke the hits record, now that was a big deal.

Bud Selig and his other crony owners should have been in San Francisco last night. They looked away for all these years, and got what they deserved.

It should be noted that 60% of the players who have been banned for performance-enhancing substances have been pitchers. Bonds is a cheater, but probably no more so than the rest of the league. He's an a$$, no doubt.

If Alex Rodriguez hits 27 homers a year over the next 10 years, he'll pass Bonds. Barring injuries, it's probably a good bet. Anyone think he's juiced?

Of course, I get most of this from listening to the radio on long commutes, not from actually paying attention to the game. At this point, does anyone else really care?

The records are only for the writers to talk about. I think the average fan only repeats what he/she sees or hears. I bet 95% of his critics don't know what he's admitted to, and that some of the players on their favorite team have been caught.

I am a baseball fan, and this talk doesn't tarnish the game for me.
