Basketball Schedules

We play an exhibition against Colorado Christain on 11/24 in Greeley (according to the CC website).

Check out what google turned up: http://www.basketballtravelers.com/game-schedule-board/?e_type=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

According to that site, it looks like we are looking to fill in dates: "We would like to start a home and home series, with us starting at home this year and and a away return game the next year. We would like to play on Dec. 3rd or 4th this year. If you are interested please contact 970-351-2481 or email at [email protected]."

Is this the men's schedule? If so, any info on the women's schedule? thanks

Looks like the women are at Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 19 (vs. Northern Colorado, Alico Arena, 4:35 p.m.)

The only way to really tell at this point is to google search and pick through the results (it's how I found the Florida Gulf Coast game).

Womens schedule is now on the UNC wed site.

Thanks. That's a pretty road heavy schedule early on in Texas and Nebraska and a nice road trip to Florida as well.

Also seems to me we are looking at a different scheduling format in the BSC this year with the addition of Idaho. (sorry if it has already been posted).

According to KSL, the Salt Lake City NBC affiliate (article here: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=1153&sid=30922945" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), the new 12-team conference schedule will consist of playing seven teams home and away and the other four teams just once. Two at home, two away.

The article later says Weber State will only be making a visit to Greeley this year (Jan. 31st). Meaning that UNC doesn't have to go to the Dee at all this year. Pretty favorable break. The only other conference team's schedule I've seen released is Eastern Washington. They have UNC coming into Cheney January 22nd but won't come into Greeley this season. I have also found that Idaho will host UNC January 24th but also will not come here.

Since the conference is doing the Thursday-Saturday schedule with the two "travel partners" format, it appears we can safely say the four teams that UNC will see just once are Weber State/Idaho State (in Greeley) and Eastern Washington/Idaho (on the road). Let ya know if I find anything else additionally.

EDIT: It appears EWU and Idaho will become travel partners now, instead of the traditional EWU/Portland State northwest trip. The Vikings will now become travel partners with Sacramento State.

So this is what I've been able to compile through other program's press releases (and with your guys help on the thread). It looks like there are 24 known games that will occur, with two more games that might happen (read below). I think the NCAA requires something like at least 27 to no more than 31, so pretty close to getting this figured out and completed.

Non-Conference

@ Wyoming Nov. 16th*
@ New Mexico St. Nov. 19th*
Colorado Christian Nov. 24th
@ Colorado State Dec. 7th (I guess CSU isn’t coming to Butler-Hancock anymore?)
@ Colorado Dec. 13th
UC- Davis Dec. 22nd

*--According to Bloggingthebracket.com, UNC, New Mexico State, Wyoming, Stetson and Florida A&M are participating in a round-robin event called the Wyoming Tournament on campus sites. Both Wyoming and NMSU are scheduled to play the other four teams in it. So if the event is truly a round-robin, I’d venture to guess UNC would play host to both Stetson and FAMU. I just couldn’t find anything, including dates, to confirm it.

Conference (There will be 18 conference games total)

@ Montana Jan. 1st?
@ Montana State Jan. 3rd
Portland State Jan. 8th!
Sacramento State Jan. 10th
@ North Dakota Jan. 17th
@ Eastern Washington Jan. 22nd
@ Idaho Jan. 24th
Idaho State Jan. 29th
Weber State Jan. 31st
Montana State Feb. 12th
Montana Feb. 14th??
@ Sacramento State Feb. 19th
@ Portland State Feb. 21st!!
North Dakota Mar. 7th (Senior Night)

?—Denotes unknown date. UNC is playing at Montana State Saturday, Jan. 3rd, if conference format of Thursday-Saturday holds, Montana (who hasn’t released their schedule) hosts the Bears Thursday, Jan. 1st.

!—Denotes unknown date. Sacramento State is coming to Greeley on Saturday, Jan. 10th. If conference format of Thursday-Saturday holds, Portland State (who hasn’t released their schedule yet) comes to Greeley on Thursday, Jan.8th

??—Denotes unknown date. Montana State is coming to Greeley on Thursday, Feb. 12th. If conference format of Thursday-Saturday holds, Montana (who hasn’t released their schedule) comes to Greeley, Saturday, Feb. 14th.

!!—Denotes unknown date. UNC visits Sacramento State Thurs. Feb. 19th. If conference format of Thursday-Saturday holds, Portland State (who hasn’t released their schedule yet) hosts UNC on Sat. Feb. 21st.

NOTE: Only four conference games are left unknown; the two games against both Northern Arizona and Southern Utah, respectively. I’d guess the February 5th and 7th dates will be road games against those two teams (since I doubt the Big Sky would give UNC six home games in a row.) And the February 26th and 28th dates will be games in Greeley against those two. Which would indicate that 5 of the last 7—and 7 of the last 11--regular season games are in Greeley.
