Congrats to coach Katz and the entire Team last night. Dang that was EXCITING. It's always great when the Hornets beat the Aggies in football AND basketball same season. Really the only down side was the poor free throw shooting by our guys late in the game. If they had made half of them they'd won by 16!!! This was a huge win for Katz and a step forward for the program.

I watched the game on Big Sky TV last night, Coach Katz and the Hornets really took it to them!
It will be interesting to see how far this team will progress through the season, I think that we will suprise some people! Really sweet for Coach Katz to get his first Sac State win against the aggies! Looking forward to going to the Utah Valley State game Tuesday, I hope the place is packed again for that one!

First of all, what an amazing atmosphere it was being in the Nest last night. I liked the starting lineup...Katz put in his two best shooting guards (Leath and Flaggs) and his best forward in Eller. Randy Adams was a nice spark off the bench as the 6th man.
As far as the free throws at the end, they made them earlier in the game when the counted more. In fact, the Hornets pretty much hit every shot they got of clean last night. The continued teaching in the game by Katz proves he is just a genius. That and they came out to start the 2nd half very strong. Under Jerome, the team if they got a good lead going into the locker room, they would always come out flat to start the second half.
Bottom line is, if the UCR and CSB games would have been at home, we'd have 3 wins now. That said, now that they are over the hump, they will win more than I think. I can definitely see 8-12 wins this year if they play like they did last night.
And of it course it was beating ucd!!!!!
