I think Katz will get the team going, but based on the number of new guys it will take some time. Generally it takes JC guys a while before they adjust to the DI game. I think this showed in their exhibition game - the JC guys just didn't product, and that was against a DIII team.
I think they will play very hard, and compete well on the defensive side of the ball. They just don't have enough offensive weapons to pull of the upset. It will be a slow start for this team, but I think they'll be competitive by BS play.

The Hornets are hanging around...down 28-25 with 6+ left in the first half. Sounds very promising...though I still think we will lose this game.
Well, this game was fun while it lasted...but, listening to Steve, and watching the exhibition, this team is going to turn a few heads this year. If we can stay healthy and start to gel, I think this team could get 8-10 wins this year. I think we will tough at home...the road will be our Achilles this year, but that's ok. Baby steps this year, like last year was for football.
BTW, have you notice how both Sperbeck and Katz have opened their Sac State careers at Fresno State....hmmmmmm
