Thanks for the heads up! Who is going to host the show (assuming Troy is still on the mend)?

Troy will actually be hosting the show.

That's fantastic news! Hope the Bears can roll over Houston Baptist to keep his ticker in check.

For those that didn't listen, I thought the coaches show was one of the best ones I have listened to in a very long time. It was a nice mix of X's and O's and stories about Vic Nottingham.

One thing I found very interesting was how Coach Collins took the blame for the field goal miss. Said the only 2 times he ever missed in practice was from that angle and that he should have ran the previous play to the other side of the field. I just got a good feeling about the tone of the conversation that made me think this team is in good shape this season. He also mentioned the 14 (I think 14) player run practices that happened this offseason and how encouraging that was. I am nto sure how that compares to other seasons but it seems the players are taking ownership of their success more this season than in the past.

The stories about Vic Nottingham were fantastic. Also, Troy did address his medical issue (heart failure) and he hopes to be back in the booth after an October check-up, if not he may have to wait for basketball season. I guess after years of supporting K-State and UNC, your heart is bound to be damaged more than usual. I really hope he gets well and am happy he has the energy and health to do the coaches shows.

Wait...I thought Collins only threw players under the bus. I only caught the last part when Coverdale talked about his health issues. That's scary stuff. I only hope for the best. Is there a way we can hear a replay of the show?

They usually post the coaches shows on their podcast section:
