Fall-signee Justin Smith led his Lewis-Palmer High School team to its conference championship. This article also has a cool photo of the 6-6 Smith throwing down a dunk.

I watched the 4A Colorado championship tonight on Root Sports - Rocky Mountain. Lewis-Palmer won and repeated as state champion. Justin Smith finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds -- he was named by the Root Sports announcers as the player of the game.

The announcers made reference to his signing with ISU many times, and he was interviewed after the game. Seems like a great individual and player...

Root Sports will replay the game overnight, and then again Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

Justin Smith's teammate, Jordan Scott (Colorado's 4A player of the year), may join him at ISU...

According to Lewis-Palmer coach Russ McKinstry, star senior Jordan Scott has narrowed his college choices to Missouri-Kansas City, Longwood (Va.) and Idaho State. All three compete in Division I men’s basketball as members of the Summit, Big South and Big Sky conferences, respectively.

Incidentally, teammate Justin Smith signed his national letter of intent in the fall with Idaho State.

Scott, the Gazette’s 5A-4A Player of the Year, averaged 18.0 points and 9.8 rebounds in helping the Rangers win their second consecutive 4A state boys’ basketball title.
