Hey guys, if you are interested I wrote an article on the best freshmen in the Big Sky, including Tim Huskisson -

I think with the mixture of the beginning of winter break this week, coupled with that discouraging loss to Westminster, people have stayed away from this board. I would say that by January, when conference play heats up, this board will see more activity.

Yea nice article Jon !
So whats going on over @ Weber, Wildcat ?? Were you so bored you had to come wake us up ??
Ok, so DU comes in Wednesday. It is always a good time. How does everyone see this game??
WAKE UP !!!!!

Yeah it's been like 2 months since we last played... Oh and yeah that loss at home to an NAIA school... :o :tothehand:

Had to come over here, there needs to be more hoops discussion on this board :D

Well, at Weber, in back to back games we lost 2 of our starters to injury, We got spanked by BYU and St. Mary's, but have beaten everybody else, We play at Cal Friday :? Lillard leads the Nation in Scoring at 26.8 average. :notworthy: . Our center (Kyle Tresnak) is becoming a very good player, he just needs to work on his rebounding.

So tell me Bears fans, any players on your team making any real noise right now? who is stepping up and who looks to be your team leader this year, what are your thoughts about this team?

I think we are all waiting to see where this team is going and who is going to step up and be a leader. We are a young team that seems to be still feeling its way but with a ton of potential to make a lot of noise on the court !! I think Weber will be the team to beat !

Little late here but UNC actually has some real nice talent, they are just real young, and with that comes inconsistency.

Not sure why there is so little excitement or faith at the moment, but a nucleus of Garnica/Unruh/Huskisson/Addo/Osborne has the potential to be really nice for UNC.

Thanks jon. People around here just don't realize how difficult the schedule has been. There are quite a few teams in the Big Sky that are closer to the level of Western Carolina and Southern (the non-conference opponents we beat) and only a couple that are up there with the DUs, Northern Iowas and Wyomings we've been losing to.

Yep I saw something that said they have played the 11th toughest schedule in the nation. They have struggled with athletic teams like NM State, Iowa St, Marquette... but as you say those types of teams don't really exist in the Big Sky.

I think the Westminster game has gotten everyone worried, but I think that game was the outlier. They have played some good teams tough this year. If you look at 3-8 alone they look like 8 or 9 in the Big Sky, but I think they will be closer to the 4-6 range. Garnica and Unruh have really improved a lot so far this year.
