Big Recruiting Weekend - Move the b-ball game

okay, since we've got some nice recruits coming in this weekend - Rubelcaba, Rolle and others we need Butler Hancock to be at its best atmosphere. That place can be a fun place to watch a game when it's packed with the fans, students and the band. However, if the Bronco game is at the same time 6pm and our tip-off is at 5pm, Hinrichs would be wise to move the game to something like 1pm. I'm not sure if the conference will be okay with this, but honestly lots of people will be parked in front of the tv watching the playoffs.

Probably can't move it. Its the conference's TV game this weekend. Note I said "probably". The chances of it being moved are slim, but it could happen.

Of course, it would likely happen if TV wasn't involved. Never mind that the radio guys are the ones along for the ride all season...

I think the Bronco game starts at 4:15 o 4:30 p.m. Sat (6:30 Eastern.)

maybe the recruits will watch first half of Basketball game and second half of Broncos/Patriots.

And, the slim chance won out: Altitude specifically requested it be moved...That was going to be the only way it could change (since us radio guys wield no control, despite being the ones who cover the teams regularly).

"...The start of Saturday’s conference game between Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado has been changed to 4 p.m. Mountain, at the request of Altitude Sports & Entertainment. "

wow, I'm stunned and think that's cool. :notworthy:
Will make it a great recuits weekend; hope there will be more players visiting than we know about so far.

We have at least three and as many as six recruits coming this weekend.

Anybody who can get to the basketball game and show these guys some enthusiasm, do it!

Jan 13, 2012 Official visitors:
Sean Rubalcaba. This year's Golden Helmet winner for all of Colorado

Bill Rolle, Safety from Florida, has 5 other offers (but we are one of only two visits he will take.)

Thomas Singleton of Cherokee Trail High School, All-Conference and All-State honors as junior and senior.

Possible: Jordan Roberts, runningback, ESPN Wyoming player of the year
