Big Sky Championship, Game Day!

Weber State's one of the best FT shooting teams we've seen in the last decade. And that's not helping them right now.

This loss is all on the shoulders of Randy Rahe. UM made adjustments at half time and Weber didn't react to the zone and UMs offense. Rahe is a very good coach, recruiter, and he does a good job, but he does get out coached in big games.

Time after time, after time! But he is a good recruiter!

30 point turn around. I think that exceeds 2010. We just got a clinic on how to coach team basketball and defense!
I couldn't agree more. Simply got outcoached tonight ... yet again. Four years now, since I've been a Weber State fan, and for four years, I've had an empty feeling at the end of successful regular seasons. I want success for Randy more than anybody, and every year I have faith he's gonna turn it around and give WSU fans and his players the icing on the cake. But my faith is faltering and I'm done calling him the Wizard of Weber? Nah. The Wizard of Torment, Meltdowns and Collapses is more like it. He doesn't have very many more of these left in him before the athletic department sends him packing. Might be the best regular-season coach in the Big Sky or even in Weber's history. He's a great guy, recruiter and mentor of young athletes. He has earned every penny WSU has paid him, but in the end, he simply can't get it done when it counts. Just ask the Utah Jazz. Would they rather have one of the NBA's all-time winningest coaches, or some NBA titles? I think they'd prefer the latter, and I do too...

I couldn't agree more. I saw lazy lazy D and the most boring predictable offense I have seen in awhile and no coaching to turn any of that around.. if we peel off those screens they would not have gotten comfortable to hit those 3's and what's with us passing the ball around the top of the arc then have fulton shoot a 3? Good Lord! And I saw Randy do nothing to tell then to run a play. Then when we finally played some D they were already in sync. Pathetic.. we better step it up for the NIT or we won't just lose we will get embarrassed and no one will take Weber seriously.

If we even get to the NIT...Is it a sure thing?

Oh I'm just hopeful. It would make sense but it wouldn't surprise me if we only got a CBI bid. We've played terrible the last 3 games.

It could be worse. We could be like NAU. At least Weber is always competitive. I've been a fan for a long time. I don't want to go back to the Cravens, or worse Farmer years.

Well good luck Montana

It's funny, with as good a team as we are supposed to have, we cant even be competetive in a game like this. :ohno:

in that second half.....oddly just like in 2010, there was nothing we could have done to stop montana.

they were on fire, they schooled us. they are a damn good team. this is not the same team that lost to north dakota. only delusion would make one think the griz are not the best team in the sky this yr. i am not sure what you can say about defense and/or our coaching when the griz shot 75% from the field in the 2nd half and they hit 8-of-12 3's also. how do u stop that? how do u stop other players that normally don't hit 3's but are draining them?

some of you will just say rahe can't win a big game and some will say fire him and bring back cravens but i think this game and the 2010 title are isolated incidences and not part of a trend. and both against the griz i do not know what to think of that. :wall:
