Big Sky Champs

As we sit currently, there are at least 6 Big Sky teams still vying for a share of the Big Sky title.

NAU sits in front at 4-0 in the standings. Eastern Wash is next at 4-1 and then SUU, Weber State, Sacramento State and Montana all sit at 3-1. Even Montana State at 3-2 still has an outside shot at a title should something happen to the 6 above them.

With only 4 weeks left in the season who takes the cake and who drops the game that eliminates them from contention?

NAU
vs Sacramento State
@ Montana
Montana State
@ Southern Utah

EWU
vs Weber State
@ North Dakota
vs Portland State

SUU
@ Northern Colorado
vs North Dakota
@ UC Davis
vs Northern Arizona

WSU
vs Montana
@ Eastern Washington
@ Portland State
vs Idaho State

CSUS
@ Northern Arizona
vs Northern Colorado
@ Cal Poly
vs UC Davis

UM
@ Weber State
vs Northern Arizona
vs Northern Colorado
@ Montana State

In my opinion Eastern has the easiest road left, followed by Southern Utah. Whereas Weber State and Northern Arizona have the hardest routes. I don't see Eastern losing to either UND or PSU, the only question on their schedule is us. Northern Arizona has to travel to both Wa Griz and Cedar City.

Eastern Washington is on a bye this week. Which means that Weber will play 3 straight teams coming off bye's (Poly, UM, EWU)

I agree, EWU has the easiest road, which still makes them the favorite to win the conference. If Weber beats UM this Sat, the championship should come down to the Weber at EWU game. And I think you can add UM to Weber and NAU as having the hardest routes, and maybe harder than Weber's. Only game left that they should absolutely win is UNC at home, whereas Weber should win at PSU and ISU at home.

Yeah, after looking at it again, I would say Montana does probably have a harder road than us, especially with how good NAU has been playing.

If we can get by UM this Saturday, then our chances of post season play may well ride on the EWU game. We just need to take care of business against UM. At this point, nothing else really matters. :coffee:

I agree, let's take care of business this week and go from there.

I think to make the playoffs we need to win 3 of the last 4. If we split Montana and Eastern and beat Portland and ISU I think we're in.

To win the big sky outright, I think we need win out.

Just take it one week at a time. Only team that can beat Weber is Weber regrettably. Stay healthy and take care of business on the field. I would love to face SUU again in the playoffs.

it will be big sky co-champs with the below making the playoffs:

1. suu/ewu - suu will get one of the 4 seeds
2. weber - 6-2, lose @ ewu, a griz win
3. griz - 6-2,

nau will lose 2 or 3 of remaining 4 games

sac/nau tied 4th
