Which coach has the best chance of being "let go" at the end of this season?
Rahe, not in a million years. Weber's issue is ensuring that The Wizard will be back next year.
Tinkle...I'm pretty sure, with the talent and the direction of the program that UM will have the Dancer back next year. There is always a chance, if they win it all, that he will get picked up by a bigger program. However, he is a MT boy and the chances of him leaving his alma mater are very unlikely.
BJ Hill... he is having a good season and is bringing in some nice looking players next year. Also, even though he is losing 4 starters, I think he is going to maintain the tradition that Tad Boyle started at UNC. They may be down next year, but they will still be tough. Also, they have the talent to contend for the next few years; even while they rebuild.
Adras...NAU's ball club has struggled a bit the last couple of years. Adras, has a better team in place, and is adding possibily the best recruit in the entire conference next year. Since NAU didn't get rid of Souers at the end of the football season, I'm sure, even if NAU happens to totally implod, which wont happen, that Adras's job is safe.
Greving...Bone left him with a total mess. One reason behind Bone's sudden departure might have been because of the APR and NCAA issues that have left PSU on probation and post-season less. Nonetheless, Bone was and is a good coach. He was able to build a program at a school that could care less about basketball, look at the Stott. Greving, had some problems with Bone's leftovers, but I think he is starting to get a bit of stride going. If he can weather the next couple of years, he should have a fairly solid team. He has proven he is a capable recruiter and decent coach. Having the difficulties associated with his job (poor facilities, 11 scholies, APR issues, and postseason probation), and still seeing his teams compete, is proof of his abilities.
Huse...getting rid of Durham might have been a really bad decision on the part of the MSU athletic department. Yes, Durham's teams weren't flashy, but they did compete for the conference crown every year, and were always dangerous. I really thought, at first, the Huse was going to take MSU to the next level, but that hasn't been the case. His teams do a pretty good job of protecting the home court, but are dismal on the road. He is a decent recruiter, but every February it seems as if his players are at war with each other. The program, right now, is a step below where it was under Durham; however, I don't think Huse should be fired just yet. He has a couple of good looking recruits that are raw and young, but should develop into fine players for the Bobcats. I think Huse will be around for, at least, two more seasons. No matter, I still think the Bobcats are relatively dangerous. Thats proof that the program has maintained something, but nothing like the mid to lat 90s and early 2000. The days of Sprinkle...
Katz...This is Katz's third year. Katz, in his second year, lead Sac St. to an improbably 10 win season. I thought that the Hornets had turned a corner, yet this year his team has struggled a bit. Maybe the schedule was a bit more difficult, maybe the team had to many SR's last year, maybe the close games haven't gone the Hornets way. No matter, i think Sac is better this year than last. Katz is proving himself as being an above average coach. He is getting talent to go to Sac. His players are developing and improving each year, and most importantly, playing the Nest is no longer an automatic W. Katz's players play team ball, there is chemistry, and they never quit. But they aren't on the same level as the rest of the Sky. No matter, the Hornets are improving...Katz will be around for a bit.
OB...If he isn't let go at the end of the season. I'm thinking Jeff might have a hard time keeping his job. He consistently brings in JC players that don't mesh and then berates them when they don't improve on his time table. The thing is that OB doesn't do a good job of developing his players. Yes, he can recruit talented JC's, but if they don't come together and play team ball then what does it matter?
Reid...I know that SUU doesn't join till 2012, but might as well look at whats happening in Cedar. I really don't see Reid sticking around much longer. He might need to retire soon. Yes, his teams are adequate, but thats it. I don't see them doing much in the Sky.
UND...I have no idea
Earlywine...Even though he has been cursed by the injury bug, unless he gets his team to the Conference Championships I don't see him coming back.
