    Why must you ALWAYS include SAC in your up and coming lists? Won't ever happen!talhadfoursteals said:Biggest factor...how good are the teams oppossing bigs? I'm pretty sure Tres is the best Center in the conference and that Weber is the deepest team. Neither Eastern or Portland will be able to challenge our inside game. They might, especially Eastern, have decent guards, but Weber's are better. I just don't see how Weber could lose either game. Of course playing on the road is tough, but neither Eastern or Portland State have shown much life this year. Heavens, has the conference shown any life other than Weber and possibly Sac and Montana? I really thought that Eastern would be far better, but hmmm...nothing. Maybe once Chiverton is back the Eagles will start playing better, but so far...yikes. hno:
I'm going to go out on a limb here, the teams with the best chance of improving in the short term, over the next few seasons or sooner are NAU, ISU, and SAC. The rest of the conference is piss poor. UNCO has talent, but BJ is starting to prove that he isn't Boyle, even though I keep hoping for another team in the conference to get better. Huse will be gone after this season, same with Geving, and UND/SUU will wallow. The only hope for the Sky, in 2013 are Weber, Montana, and SAC...with an outside chance of NAU. NAU gets some bigs and they will be very dangerous. They already have some guys who can replace Rogers and Salvidar when they both leave.

Good Coach no doubt, but me & a few friends would ARGUE that Coach Rahe was outcoached by Montana's Coach Tinkle in the last 2 years of play at end of regular season & BSC tourney. Several friends have told me that one big flaw of Rahe is that he's too inflexible with O & D play calling + player lineup in games where things aren't going well. :twocents:

They lead the nation in taking three point shots and we are near the top in defending the three point shot. Something will have to give in this game. We will pound it inside on these guys, much like YBU did to us. They may take 40 three point shots, but I don't think many of them will be uncontested. They will try to double our bigs and that may open the outside for our shooters. If they don't double our bigs, it could become a layup drill.
PSU is a completely different animal.
