But no snow in the forecast. No rain either.

I have a feeling Bees will be crying so let's all join in singing.

Saw a wee patch of snow in this video from yesterday in Ogden.

Though, arguably, 37° with marine flow is more soul-killing than the same in normally desert air. I could argue that altitude after dark is a real PITA, but that’s another discussion.

Question: Why oh why are we playing football in Hillsboro on a Friday night in November? It is either going to be wet, cold, or cold and wet. Are we going to be "late night Big Sky" on a national feed? Pounder, stay warm, maybe a well concealed flask would be appropriate.

Back to this intriguing question.

Intriguing because the area high school playoff games are all tonight. Central Catholic is at Jesuit.

Was CC going to play Saturday? Or, given there’s no school today, would a CC home game have been played Friday afternoon? Did Hillsboro push this to save a few bucks?

(For all the discussion about the PSU stadium situation, how ironic is it that the other fall “main tenant” at Hillsboro Stadium has their campus even further away from Hillsboro than PSU does?)

The Hops had a beer fest night at the start of September. That does draw a crowd. Then as the beers and other drinks tapped out, the food lines were ridiculous because there wasn’t enough concession staff. So, when I suggest Hillsboro wanted to save a few bucks, I’m saying that our post-pandemic bugaboo staffing issues are at the forefront of that.

Or maybe PSU missed a rent payment?

BTW… any thoughts on the 6A shrinking the true state playoffs but adding the Columbia Cup?

Also… the forecast is now 5-6 degrees warmer than the preliminary indications from Sunday (note: weather forecasters hate making judgments more than 72 hours out, but TV execs pay them to do the ridiculous). I am profoundly disappointed, but layers are still recommended.

"It never rains in Hillsboro Stadium". (Don Essig voice)

A couple things to note:

I get in a couple minutes late, there’s a wee kid in the seat I bought, his parents in the row above (father wearing a Sac State hoodie), but if I heard correctly from someone down the row, they’d let others into the expensive seats because of the cold/wind/rain. I went further up, no problems, that’s Portland!

There were 4 buses of Sac State fans, from what I walked by. Didn’t get a bead on whether they were local or those buses all made the drive. Being ranked 2nd has its perks.

I wanted to see Chachere in some designed runs, I got most of my wish, Sac was ready for that. I think I registered my feelings about the defense. Shrug. The lines seemed to have checked out for the season.
