I know how Weber can win the Big Sky tournament. Welcome in four new members overnight and allow them to set their own schedule. As follows:

Round 1 vs. Bethesda
Quarterfinals vs. Presentation College
Semis vs. Benedectine
Championship vs. West Coast Baptist

In all seriousness though, never know what we are going to see in the tourney. Let's enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts! Go 'Cats!
 
Four wins in four days? Time to make the conference regret letting all teams in. A very tough matchup right out of the gate. Harding will need to put up big numbers, and defense and rebounding will need to show up.
 
We have produced a series of stories in collaboration with the conference leading up to the tournament. One of our stories is on Weber State senior Jerrick Harding.

Why do we continue to complain about the tourney when other teams embrace the format and compete. We’re horrible...... time to find a way to get better. We have 4 games in 4 days potentially because we earned it. We are a program on the decline. Tired of this style of ball! Team ain’t in John’s or Harding’s vocabulary. That’s the problem with Weber State..... you probably run laps if god forbid you get an assist.
 
Huge props to Boise for filling the arena with elementary school kids. It's nice to see someone think outside the box so players aren't playing in an empty arena.

Wow we are a one dimensional, selfish team. Brian Katz is a better coach than Randy Rahe
 
Well Harding got his! Funny that Hein keeps shouting from the roof top about Harding. Between Cody and Harding there’s not another open player on the court. Hopefully next year we get the old Randy Rahe and he’ll get rid of the selfish play. Dumb of me to come to Boise.
 
Well, I'm glad I didn't go to Boise this year. This was the first time I didn't go to the tournament since they started it 5 years ago. 3 years in Reno and last year in Boise. I really wanted to go, but just couldn't justify it this year. Looks like I made a good choice. Looking at the box score, I get the feeling that the coaches kind of wanted to lose. We only played 7 players. No way we can win with a 7 man rotation. Coach Rahe cashed it in. That right there shows that Barnes, Jordan, Gallupo and Dikite are all gone next year. Unless they are hurt or are sick, no way those guys are back next season. We will have 7 open spots. I'm really worried next year could be historically bad. I really really really hope I'm wrong and we can bring in some top talent. The returning roster doesn't have much to hope for. Lots of changes coming. Fingers crossed..... Go Weber

At least there was several hundred local school kids to keep you company. We had 3 assists all game. That stat is pretty much all you need to know. If you don't move the ball and get open shots you don't win games.
 
You all need to give it a rest on Harding!!!!! The dude has to score for us to have a chance!! It’s not his fault! If he had anyone who could hit an open three he would find him! We don’t!!!!!!!! To blame Harding for our problems is ridiculous and quite frankly insane! Harding shot 9 for 20 and scored 31 points.
Let me tell you what the problem is, the coaching!!!!!!!!
They recruited the players we have, they develop the players we have, and we lose a large amount of games because of that. We are too small on the wings, and lack any true shooters. We were out shot by a team that doesn’t shoot straight. You add there defense into the equation and that’s what happens.
If you want to blame someone, put the blame where it belongs. Harding gives it all he has. Apparently you have never played ball, because it is exhausting when you know you have to score 40 points for your team to have a chance of winning! That’s not on Harding. Take your Harding bashing somewhere else!!!!

I don’t deny it’s the coaching, but Harding is the one with over 30 minutes today and didn’t have 1 assist. Not even one dump for a dunk! It’s a stat game for him and Cody. This is a team game that you must trust your teammates. The whole team today had 3 assist. Sac State had 12. Let’s also not forget that Harding was 9-20 and 1-8 from the 3 pt line. Is Rahe the problem..... listen to his post game press conference and you tell me! I’m sorry, but I’m not going to give an Emmy to the Harding show. He and Cody between them had one assist today. BTW...... they’re our starting guards!

I’m done ranting..... but this team had 46 shots today! Harding had 20, John 10 and Kozak had 13. The rest of the team had 3! That’s moving the ball around! The whole team today had 3 assist. How do you have expect to win a game with that kind of performance? I think it’s a travesty that Brenden Morris didn’t even get 1 second of PT today. That Rahe ramble about how he loves this team. I wonder how they feel about him?

Pure and simple, Harding and John are a bad mix of selfish play. Harding doesn't deserve all of the blame but he isn't the best facilitator for others.

Not complaining about four games in four days...just more knowing Weber State would have trouble with four wins in four weeks, much more days.

I liked the old format. I know it created travel problems, but it put meaning with winner hosting and top two getting byes. Under old format, Weber State would not have qualified...and deservedly so.

Agreed. It’s just bad basketball all around. It’s a bad scheme with poor defense, poor rebounding selfish style of play, and high turnovers.

I don’t recall a team that was so bad at the three point line. I thought it would be two years before a possible buyout could take place, but it might need to take place now or only one more year. Otherwise, it might take some time to put out the dumpster fire.
 
Is no one going to talk about the high major player in Kham Davis that coach Rahe raved about before the season being one of the most unproductive players I’ve ever seen play. 38 minutes today and only scored 2 points. It’s been the same result for a majority of the games he has played this season, high minutes and low numbers. He was a big bust this year.
 
I suppose I could just zip it and listen, but no thanks! As far as the number of attempts in the game? Please tell me who you would have take more shots than Harding????? Who??? Who’s going to have a better chance of making it?????? I don’t know if you have noticed, but Zdor, Fuller, And Davis can’t even make a layup over the last 2 weeks! You don’t believe me? Go back and take a look at the film. So who should shoot the ball then???? Have you ever played on a basketball team this bad?? When you know that no one else on your team can make a shot, you do it yourself. Harding played the majority of the season passing the ball around. Standing in the corner while they run the weave offense and then getting the ball with 10 seconds on the shot clock and absolutely no other option than to get off the best shot he can. Do I think winning teams play like that??? No!!!!!! That’s why we suck! Harding didn’t recruit the other 10 players on the roster, which only 7 of them see the court! Who’s fault is that??? I’ve watched Harding since he arrived here at Weber. When Dusty Baker and Ryan Richardson were here Harding had guys he could pass too for an open shot! They have been gone for two years. It’s rather hard to get assists if no one can make a shot other than yourself. Assists don’t exist without a made basket!
Someone give me a legit reason why it’s Harding’s fault!
 
Easy! Because he’s a member of the team! If one player is responsible all players are! The coach at Sac St had a strategy..... just let Harding get his and stop the other 4!
It’s like the Bulls...... Jordan didn’t get his ring until he included his teammates. I might’ve said this too much but it’s a team game! When you’re the best player on the court you have to make your teammates better! It’s hoops 101!
