Brick3. You didn’t answer my question! You didn’t give any legitimate reason why Harding would pass? I’ve coached for many years. When you have a good team, then yes, you pass the ball and get the best shot available. I’ve had teams that were that good. I’ve also had teams with 1 or 2 good players and nothing else. In that situation, you go with the 2 guys and you hope someone else shows up to help! The bulls comparison is ridiculous! MJ is the greatest player of all time, and he had Scotty Pippen on his team, who is a top 50 player all time in the nba. Steve Kerr was one of the best spot up shooters at that time. Tony Kukoc was legit! Do I need to keep going. Harding didn’t have a Pippen, Kerr, Kukoc, he had Cam Davis, Cody John, Micheal Kozak, and Tim Fuller!!! Seriously, you have to be kidding me!
So next season, when the wildcats come out of the locker room with Cam Davis, KJ Cunningham, Michael Kozak, Dima Zdor, and Israel Barnes and we lose by 40 and we score less than 50 every game, then maybe you will understand what I’m talking about. Because I can guarantee you that they will pass the ball around as you desire and the result will be horrific!
If they prove me wrong then I will agree with you! Show one of us is going to be eating crow. My money is on you!

I can’t believe that I have to explain to a coach that you need 5 guys working on the court not one. Harding is a great scorer, but not a great basketball player. If he didn’t believe in his teammates enough to pass to them he shouldn’t be on the court. His assist per game wasn’t higher when he had help because he’s not a great passer. He’s a marginal passer at best. He Definitely can’t pass into the interior. D1 isn't just about scoring, it’s about defense and playing within the system. I do believe that Fuller, Kozak and others are decent ball players, but Rahe was running the wrong system, This was a horrible year for everyone involved...... if you as a coach truly believes the team needed Harding to be the hero, than I pity the high school team you coach. The Bulls complimentary parts got better after Jordan adjusted to their strengths........ they didn’t adjust to Jordan taking half the teams shots. The great ones understand the importance of team and included their teammates. Not just being a “ got mine” kind of guy. Rahe changed his system to adjust to Harding’s strength. He forgot the 4 other guys on the court. That’s why they’re back in OGDEN tonight. Wrong Coach, running the wrong system.

I agree with Big T. Can't really blame Harding for shooting to much when the other guys on the team can't make a basket. I would love to see what Harding could do with more talent around him. I seem to remember his Freshman year and he made some sweet passes. We had Senglin, Richardson, Baker and Hill then. Kozak was showing promise, but rest of them. Yikes. My church ball team are betting shooters then Weber State. Sadly. We are that bad. To compare our team to the 1997 bulls is like comparing a tomato to a leather boot. I do think lots of our problems are the system we run. I still can't figure out why we run a 3 man weave for the first 15 seconds of the offense then just give the ball to Harding or John to go one on one while the other 4 guys stand with their thumbs up their asses. Big T is right. Harding is legit and really talented. Can't fault the guy when there is just not much talent around him and the system the coach runs doesn't make any sense.

I can’t believe they went 2 of 14 from 3 point line. That is awful and church ball teams could do better. As far as play calling, I think anyone could eat a can of alphabet soup and crap out better Xs and Os than what Weber State has drawn up.

I don’t see it getting better, but maybe next season might not occur. A vaccine is 1 1/2 years out from mass production, so unless the summer heat kills off COVID-19, sports may go away for a while.

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while.

Thanks. Made my evening.

You might be right Chex! This virus deal is getting crazy. We might be done with sports for a long long time. On another front! I find it quite interesting that they cancel everything. Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, and gatherings over 100. No college classes being held, so to the interesting part! I have 4 children. They cancel everything but it’s ok for me to send my 4 kids to school with hundreds if not thousand of kids running through the halls touching and coughing on each other, but we shut down everything else. Am I missing something? If we are going to take this COVID19 seriously and blow things up, why are our children still going to school?

You are right. Schools are nothing if not germ incubators. Day care centers and preschools are just as bad. Lets face it, children themselves are nothing but germ factories. The way I see it, we will all have the chance to experience COVID19. It's really just a matter of when and what impact it will have on our healthcare systems. :coffee:

You are probably right. Let’s just hope it can be slowed down until maybe a vaccine can help out and reduce the impact.
