I don't know how we arrived at this moment. I think I've been in shock since the Eastern Washington game.

One last hurdle. Chance at a piece of a championship and a win over our historic tormentor.

I know we are pretty much in for the playoffs win or loss, but I NEED a win Saturday. Let's exercise the demons!!!!!

DUCK FAVIS!!!

I'm with you Phantom

Love all my Sac Buzz fellow posters but yours is the one who speaks the most to right now in Sac State football history.

cause as they say yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.

We won again today.

We are in first place in the Big sky

We have UC Davis up next

At Hornet Stadium to win the Causeway, win the Big Sky title and move into the post season

Nothing else matters.

Look forward ….

Our Hornet football team is GREAT!!

Stingers Up!!

Can't wait to make the trip down from the Great Northwest to witness this next Saturday! The only thing that would make it better is if Mrs. BSCfan would be able to come with too, but she couldn't get off work to come with on short notice.

FWIW, we DO have a shot at a solo championship, but it's going to take a LOT of help.

First, we have to take care of business against the Manure Pile next week. That's probably the EASIEST part of the triad, though rivalry games are notoriously tricky.

The second part is for the Kitties to beat the Griz in the Brawl of the Wild. That's certainly POSSIBLE, but far from certain.

The last part is for ISU to take out BBQ. THAT's the one that's probably a no-go, but weirder things HAVE happened. Anyone remember Appalachian State's incredible win at Michigan?

Dear Sacramento, This Saturday, please take off your purple-colored glasses. The Kings will be off and the sports stage will belong to Sacramento State. If you can't make it to Hornet Stadium to see the Hornets get a win over the Berkeley Wannabes, please turn on your TV, radio, phone, tablet or computer and show your love for your city's college football program. This ride is just getting started. Next up, the Big Sky championship and a first round bye. Sincerely, The Hornet Nation

Biggest game ever? We’ve been saying that a lot this season! Which is a great thing!!

Each benchmark game throughout the season certainly has risen in importance.

And to be clear, I say the games, as they happened in order (MSU, UM, WSU, etc) have been the biggest in program history upon moving up to FCS. I’m sure the league titles and postseason games in D2 were important as well.

Anyway, it’d sure be nice to see them complete worst to first and collect at least part of the conference title. What an accomplishment that’d be! Anything beyond it would be icing on the proverbial cake.

First thing is first — they gotta take down their bitter rival! Who will surely be motivated more than ever to spoil a Cinderella type season like the one they enjoyed last year.

The Hornets need to take ‘em down and leave no doubt!
