BigSky Games Week 12 or Go Bengals Thread!

Well doesn't look like anyone's going to help us out and we'll likely wind up in NDSU's bracket. I just wanted more home games but truly think we can play with anyone. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Delaware got shellacked by Villanova. LOL. I was getting tired of how the CAA should get 6+ teams in. Maine wins by 1 over Elon and stony brook is up by 1 with 3 minutes left and albany has the ball

Stony Brook loses to Albany late.. JMU beats Towson

Not a bracketologist but sort of assumed we would be the 4th seed. Who climbs over the Eags at 9-2? SDSU may have the only case unless Montana's AD sells us out for a monied private gig with the NCAA FCS Championship people like the last Big Sky commissioner did...

Yep, thinking a fifth seed. That is as long as the committee doesn't screw us over again. I don't know how much of an advocate Haslam is for us as the BSC rep.

4

Hard to put an 8 win South Dakota State team over Eastern. I don't know who else could jump us. I don't think JMU with 8 wins would jump up, and Colgate and Jax State lost.

I've certainly been wrong before, but a 4 seems pretty certain unless the committee prefers Eastern to Weber and moves us to a 3. That would seem highly unlikely, although more possible than dropping to fifth.

4 or 5, either way we’re going to be on the NDSU side of the bracket. Whoever grabs the #3 seed (probably Weber) has a great shot to make it to the title game because I am just not sold on KSU...or ANY big South team for that matter.

I can’t see SDSU above us. They have 2 FCS losses and would have lost their FBS game if it wasn’t canceled while they were losing at Iowa state. We may jump kennesaw for a 3 seed but I think it’s best case scenario. I’d say 25% shot at a 3 seed, 75% shot at a 4. I don’t see us as the 5 seed but who knows

I have us at 4 with Weebs and Kenny 2 and 3. SDSU has the two FCS losses and missed the FBS game. I can see an outside chance of us moving to 3 with Kenny 4, but I can’t see us jumping Weebs with that pesky head to head loss.

Yeah, after I went back and looked at it again, it seems likely we’re the #4 Seed due to the HtH versus Weber.

I hope they look closely at the entire body of work, because we’ve shelacked just about everyone we’ve played (minus Weber). In a top FCS conference that really has to mean something. Another thing I was thinking about is the fact that we had to play BOTH co-champions Weber and Davis, while both only had to play us (they didn’t play each other.) I really hate the inbalanced schedule...

I also wonder if they might not put Weber at 2 and EWU at 3, given the way Kennesaw struggled to put away a 3 FCS loss JSU and the fact that they play in a conference that historically shits the bed in the playoffs.

We’ll see where the cards fall tomorrow. One issue I have is that it seems like we’re getting punished for the Weebs loss but they get a pass on the NAU loss. It will be interesting!

That’s my point, EWU’s FCS loss it to a ranked, Big Sky Champ. I think Eastern Washington deserves the two seed, and I think they’ll get it. I also believe Eastern will be seeded higher than Weber. :fingers crossed:
