I don't have a complete handle on what each team did in the 2023 recruiting cycle but thought it would be fun to review some of the classes and see if there are any standouts.
For me, the class "rankings" on 247 jumped out, although they miss many players that signed. If they don't have a .xxx number, it doesn't seem to add to the tally. I believe in the eye test but know that lots of other factors contribute to how a player does at the next level. Example from this years class: Jaylon Jenkins has an 83 3 star rating but no sports composite rating (so no state or nat'l rating). From his huddle, Jaylon is right in the mix with composite 3 star players. Why the miss? I believe a player has to be seen in person to get a composite rating, not just video (correct me if I am wrong).
Not butthurt on the Eagles ranking just want to clear up some of the difficulties in using a service like 247 for relative analysis.
Using the 247 rankings:
PSU 129
Cal Poly 137
Sac St 142
Idaho 143
No. Colo 155
Griz 160
Eagles 161
Everyone else 178 with 0.00 composite scores
