I find the whole event somewhat refreshing. Not refreshing that the refs blew a call and ISU didn't have had a chance to win it the end but refreshing to see some accountability in place.
If most of us make blatant errors at our job, it is likely that we'll earn a short-term unplanned break or our walking papers. Why shouldn't that apply to officials.
I don't think they should be vilified, tarred and feathered or fired but that call was atrocious and critical. ISU should have had shots at the end of the game after Hasquet pulled a "C-Webb".
