Blue Facemasks

Maybe this interests only me but judging from the pictures on the Tribune site if appears we are wearing blue facemasks now. Kind of interesting because I know we've worn white as long as I've been following the program which goes back 20 years. Although I'm not really a fan of white masks on gold helmets it was unique, I'm not aware of any other school or pro teams that's done that... so it's a little bittersweet to see them go. The blue definetly looks more professional although if it was me I'd of gone with gray.

You're correct. Coach Downing decided to change things up, and we'll be in blue facemasks for the Purdue game Saturday, Sept. 6.

We're still a little mixed during practices, but slowly but surely the new masks are making their way onto every player's helmet. For your mental image, the blue matches the blue in the "NC" on the sides. They look sharp, IMO.
