Bob Cole

I just hope he's better than Cockhill, Wyoming's LAST OC! Cockhill's offense was so predictable by the second half of every season from 2003 to 2007 than people in China who had NO idea what American football is could've figured it out within secionds.
 
I know an ex-Vik who played under Cole for one year. Didn't have good things to say about Cole, although it sounded like his complaints where more a personality issue then an actual x and o's problem.

Cole sounds exactly like Cockhill. Cockhill keot getting into the heads of our QBs and screwing up their minds good.

Oh, well...With Burman's threat of "7+ wins or Else", we'll be rid of the entire coaching staff after the 2008 season.
 
I think Glenn is a great coach. Wyo shouldn't give up on him. I know Cole must be itching to get back into DI ball.
 
Quit hating. Coach Cole's did a great job here at PSU. Chip Dunn-his recruit. Terry Charles-his recruit. Darrick Holmes-his recruit. That is 3 Hall of Fame players here!!!! Get real. I could go on with many others. He coached Jimmy Blanchard, one of the most efficient QB's in college football. I played for Coach Cole. He's a hot-head, likes a cocktail and a pack of smokes, but he can coach. Wyoming will be lucky to have him.

So it's ok for you to badmouth Jerry and call us idiots for actually liking him, but you get all bent out if shape if some of the guys don't like your favorite coach? You can't have it both ways.... Let's just wait and see if things improve next season before we condemn him out of hand.
 
Honestly, I think that was a pretty good post pash. I appreciate your insight as a former player on topics like this one. Never mind, after reading all your posts, I think there's nothing redeeming. No constructive criticism. You are clearly not a fan. This is a fan's forum. Go waste somebody else's time.

How you plan to compare a head coach versus an offensive coordinator is beyond me. Why not make a Mouse versus Cole comparison in three years to be more realistic?
 
All I'm saying is that when it is all said and done, Bob was here, and they won games, and went to the playoffs because of his efforts. He brought players here who went to the League. Bob was Walsh's right hand man, and played a major role in the transition from D-II to I-AA. All the players that we are talking about now are Walsh's guys-Carvalho, Heerspink, Senn, Kirkland, Tyler, Howell, Dorsey. I am waiting to see how Jerry makes us better on the field, the true measure of any football coach.

I HOPE I AM WRONG! I AM A VIK! I WANT US TO WIN MORE THAN 3 GAMES! Sorry but I care, and that is my impression. I wish I could agree, and see the positives as you do, but I can't see it.
 
So how about that Bob Cole?? I think he'll do things for the Cowboy offense than Cockhill could never do. Pretty exciting stuff.
