Bob's Moving

I was surpised and sad to read in Sunday's Standard Examiner that Bob, probably WSU's biggest fan, is moving out of state. So I thought we could do a little tribute to him on this forum. Maybe share your favorite Bob moment or something.

For all the bball games I went to while I was still a student, there was one fixture that never changed--Bob sitting court side. My three favorite things about Bob were the following: 1-Bob yelling at the crappy big sky refs. That was just awesome! 2-Bob hi-fiving the starting lineup, and of course 3- the pateneted Bob dancing, especially when it was with Waldo!

Oh and I thought it was hilarious when Bob got in a big yelling match with Eric Neff over coach Cravens.

God bless you Bob. We will miss you!!!

That's too bad that Bob moved, I sat right next to him for all home football games. Speaking of Bob's other love, I have 2 Ogden Raptors tickets for 7/20/7 that I cannot use. they are on row 2 right next to the visiting teams dugout, it's a great place to heckle, or get the visiting team to give you a broken bat or a baseball. If anyone is intrested let me know.

Bob is missed... Even though he liked to argue with fans at basketball games for keeping Coach Cravens... Never understood that one. Bob is just a loyal and caring guy. I wonder if we could ever get him on the forum?

Not sure if we can get him on the forum or not but check this article about old Bob:

I just found this topic and remembered a Bob story. While living in Nashville, TN, I was able to get to a WSU game when they played in the region. In 1999 (I think) the basketball team played in a pre-conference tournament hosted by Florida A&M in Tallahassee. I decided it was worth the eight-hour drive, so I decided to go.

During the first night of the tournament, I met Bob. How could I miss him, right? We talked a bit and cheered a lot--and loudly. I tried to keep up with Bob, but my throat was scorched by the second half! I kept yelling anyway, and Weber managed a victory. It was kind of surreal. A very small group of Weber fans and two guys yelling their lungs out. Not even the sparse Florida A&M group could match us.

During the second night, I met a scout for the Charlotte Hornets who was there to watch Harold Arceneaux. We talked a bit and I returned to the Weber area to try to keep up with Bob once again. We had a great time cheering on the team, and the team rewarded our efforts with another victory to win the tournament.

Two or three years later, I went to another tournament. Might have been Muncie, Indiana, might have been Chattanooga. Anyway, I talked with the Standard Examiner beat writer (Jared Page I think), and asked him if he remembered the Tallahassee tournament. He said something like "Yeah, you guys yelled the whole time in this nearly-empty arena. Of course I remember."

How could you miss him, right? I have a feeling a lot of people will miss him!

I heard somewhere's that Bob was going to travel to Utah sometime this month to partake in some Weber State Basketball, is this true? I believe Larson would know best, since he was the last person to attend a WSU athletic event with Bob. Marcus you need to report this to the Weber State faithful.
Already, Weber State games seem quieter than I can remember. This year the fans hardly ever get into the games. There are only a couple of crazies in the student section that do anything. It's kinda depressing.

I am NOT QUIET!!! There are many people who will not sit in front of me because of my voice. My parents will not let me sit by them because of my loud and obnoxious behavior. My parents always look for me the first time I start yelling at the game.

Have there been any Bob sightings lately? I actually do miss not having him sit right next to me at football games. He was one of the greatest WSU fans ever, and by far the loudest. Plus, who doesnt want to see him and waldo dancing again?
