Boise State job

Rumors have 2 Big Sky coaches linked to the newly vacant Boise State job. Jeff Choate (Montana State) and Jay Hill (Weber State) have been rumored to the job. Ducks OC Avalos appears to be the frontrunner, however.

Rumors were flying today that Dallas Cowboys OC Kellen Moore (aka the biggest hero that BSU football has ever seen, all bow before him) is taking the job. The rumor was it would happen today, and the journalist who said that needs to look at some schedules and lay off the drugs.

Avalos is probably the better idea, but Boise often runs on emotion.

Yesterday, in the space of a few hours, three different reports identified three different people as the “imminent hire” for the AD position. Obviously, the AD hire needs to come first. Still worth several laughs.

The one from Baylor got the AD job.

And then Kellen Moore bowed out and decided to remain in Dallas.

Some other names seem to be popping up, but I’m not sure if the rest of the field is the way to bet.

Avalos and Choate are to be interviewed in Boise today (Tuesday) along with two other candidates.
