Boise State RB considering EWU transfer

I like our backs right now. All of them seem to have contrasting strengths and weaknesses, though. Custer is good in space and complements the passing game well. Pearce is obviously the guy you want in during short yardage situations and McPherson is a little more balanced. Cory Young looks like he's more in the Tamarick Pearce type build but maybe a little quicker. And I agree that we need a 4th back to come into the rotation. There's almost always 1 or 2 that are injured at any given time. If Young can come in and contribute right away I think the coaches should be all over this.

Cory would make a great addition to our program. Here's his HUDL highlights.

From what I see in his highlights he's a speed guy like Custer. Just a little bigger.

That wouldn't be too bad to add to the rotation. If the coaches don't want Custer to get worn out, then Young might be the guy for them.

You can never have too much quality depth at running back. All four of our guys missed playing time this year due to injury. Hope the coaches give him a shot.

Why not bring him in and do a double tailback look in the backfield? We showed that a few times this year? Having two really speedy backs in that formation would be really interesting.

i noticed that as well and don't recall EWU ever running that formation before. I think it's coach Taylor influence.
