Bolomboy in the NBA?

Seeing Joel in more mock drafts:

38 - NBADraft

59 - DraftExpress

51 – BleacherReport
Scouts will be locked into Bolomboy against Xavier in the NCAA tournament, given how few quality opponents Weber State has faced over the years. Big Sky teams haven't had an answer for him inside, where his size, athleticism and nose for the ball are just too much. In the NBA, he'll have the chance to carve out a career as a rebounding specialist (12.7 per game). But he did make 19 threes. Bolomboy is an NBA big man if he continues to make strides with his jumper.

Bolomboy goes to the Jazz at #52....looks like you guys will get to watch him for a while longer....
With Booker a free agent, Bolomboy has a real shot to make the roster.

Happy for Joel and that his hard work paid off, but was disappointed he slid 12-17 spots from where he should have been picked. Oh well, at least he's with a team I can root for and with some more hard work I'll be able to watch him as he realizes his NBA dream.

Here's what Chris Ford said:

The Jazz select Weber State PF Joel Bolomboy. One of my favorite sleepers in the draft. Great athlete. Elite rebounder. Plays HARD.

I don't care for the NBA anymore, but I am happy for Bolomboy, I hope everything works out for him and like Lillard before him becomes the star we all know he is capable of being.

It's a great time to be a Wildcat

  He couldn't get over the "stigma" of coming from a smaller college program. That is my guess why he slid so far. But, reading statements from professionals like Chad Ford make me hopeful for Joel. The Jazz probably couldn't believe their luck. Joel was still around...that was an easy get for them.

Observing the Jazz roster and looking back on their weaknesses, I feel Joel has a chance to make an impact in SLC. The Jazz aren't the deepest team and really needed to work on its bench. They struggled at times to rebound and get points in the paint; especially when Favors is out. We all need to remember another prolific rebounder the Jazz picked who is in Atlanta. He was also a late second round pick and has really made a name for himself in the NBA. Also, as much as I like out coaching staff. Joel is going to be able to take his development to that next level. He has soooo much potential. He just needs to keep working hard and he will be fine.

I have heard that his agent is a piece of work. Rumor is that he was telling teams that Joel had a first round lock with a team. There was speculation that it was Phoenix, But when they went PF with the 4th pick there was no chance that was true. Joel is a Jazz type of player. I am happy for him.

Which supports why Joel was counciled out of a Jazz workout and, who knows, possibly others. What a clown. No matter to him, he still gets his paycheck.

I may be wrong, but I thought Joel did work out for the Jazz. In fact, I'm real sure, but I don't have time to do due diligence at the moment.

From the above:
"The Utah Jazz did not workout Bolomboy, as his agency said that schedules did not meet up and that they did not expect him to be around for the Jazz’s picks in the second round."

The Jazz did interview Bolomboy, however.

Thanks for posting the article "WeberProf." even though I stand corrected, it's nice to know and it was a good article.
