BracketBuster

First half may have been the best the Vikings have ever played. On fire from downtown fueled by great energy from the crowd. The second half wasn't great, but Dominguez and Nelson took care of business, and that was enough. Big win given the exposure, although it doesn't really matter otherwise.

I want to know our 3-point percentage was from the first half! It seemed like we were hitting them pratically every possession!

12 of 17? Pretty amazing. The Broncos couldn't seem to stop them. By the second half, though, the Broncos were back on line, shooting something like 65%. Whatever it seemed in the first half, it wasn't easy to win this game. Kudos to PSU - they didn't lose their cool, even when it got down to a mere 6 point lead. This should pump up the team for the last conference games.

Oh man, no doubt. On freaking fire in the first half.

The Stott is sooooo much fun when it's packed and full of energy like it was tonight. The band, the students, everything. Chants from the students like "dirty sanchez," and "start the wagon." I love it.

P.S. Awesome anthem by the track coach with the sax. I hope there is more of that.

PSU, congrats on a great win for not only you guys, but the whole Big Sky! This is the PSU team I have been worried about all season, and indeed the one that will challenge our Wildcats here in Ogden in a few weeks. Hopefully Coach Rahe will have our boys ready to go, but I know we need to be looking out for you guys. Way to show the WAC what a little Big Sky basketball is all about  Congrats again! Hope to see some of you forum guys in Ogden in March.

Boise State get busted by Portland State in BracketBuster

BSU falls behind by 23 points to Portland State in the first half and never recovers in its second consecutive setback.

I notice Greg Oden made another appearance at The Stott last night. Nice to see that the big man is on board with Viking hoops.

That's cool seeing Greg Oden at the game. Does anyone know why he's coming? It is great having him.

Does anyone know if Wim Wiewel was there? It is great if the school President could see the type of atmosphere and excitement a big game on campus can create. Maybe it will help pump up momentum for an arena.

Both Wim Wiewel and his wife were at the game, along with Peter W. Stott, Mouse Davis and his new wife, and Jason Conrad (the 6-11 PSU signee who left the team just before this season began).

Oh, this is excellent news! I wasn't at the game, but if the atmosphere was only half as good as described by some here, good ol' Wim will know how to decide the arena issue.

Be nice to see some of the student support carry over to the women's last home game sat 2pm...sitting in first place. What a way to send off Kahle!
