Bracketbusters schedule?

Been looking at the Bracketbusters website. All the teams are shown, but no reference to when the matchups will be posted or if there is a TV network within ESPN channels that will host the announcement of which games will be televised.

I know this is the last year for it, but I guess it will just get posted to the website sometime ???

OOPS - just saw on Weber Sports that the selection will be Feb 4th. Guess it moved back a week this year

I know there's been some discussion at eGriz about it, but with it being the last year, does anyone here for sure know how the return works. I know I thought I had read that the return game would still be in effect, but some clarification would be much appreciated.

"As part of the agreement, all 13 of the BracketBusters home teams in televised games, as well as the remaining 58 home squads, will play a return game at the home facility of their opponent in November or December of the 2013-14 season."

Still valid???

Yes. A return game is still part of the equation:

As part of the agreement, all 13 of the BracketBusters home teams in televised games, as well as the remaining 58 home squads, will play a return game at the home facility of their opponent in November or December of the 2013-14 season.

so who do we play?

@ davis? @ Cal Poly?

where is that site that shows like rpi's? i think it was a Shockers blog or forum maybe.

I think it depends on the schedule makers and if they truly do not match teams that have played each other or do during the year.

Right now our RPI forecast is pretty close to Utah State (.5142 to .5174) but since we already played in Logan, this game should not be in Bracketbusters.

From RPIForcast, here are some west coast and midwest home team possibilities with their RPI percentage.

Wright State (.5139) - back to Dayton Ohio, it was good for us earlier this season!
Texas Arlington (.5100) - wait we already owe them a game there
Drake (.5035)
Cal Poly (.4868)
UC Santa Barbara (.4768)
UC Davis (.4518)

Not sure how much proximity plays into selections. It is fun to conjecture what might be set.....will know Monday.

Meanwhile beat UND and UNC!!! It is sub-zero wind chills in Grand Forks, hope they have the heat on on the arena!

Long Beach is at .5296 currently. Home teams usually get to pick, and will want as close to their percentage as possible I would expect.

Weber gets Oral Roberts, no TV.

Griz get @ Davidson on ESPNU.

Some nice comments from Joe Katz on the Griz during the selection show.

Katz calls the Griz/Davidson match-up the 2nd most interesting in the field. His quote:

"Love the Griz. Wayne Tinkle. Will Cherry, their best player, was out for the first seven games of the season. 4 of those games were losses. The 4th loss was in double OT to SDSU. The Committee is going to look at that. Griz didn't have their best player for 3 losses. Going to Davidson across the country, who is a very pesky team, and it makes for a great match up. And Montana, if they win the Big Sky -- they're undefeated right now -- I think they can win a game in the NCAA Tournament".

Joe L:

"They are a dangerous team for sure, but they better win the Big Sky". Which drew a big, "C'MON!" from Katz.
