But I will take them any day over GU

No way, no how. And this is coming from a Zag fan, my second favorite team (my parents have season tickets). BSC teams (ANY of them) match up considerably better with the Zags than with Wisconsin.

We will have to agree to disagree then which is fine. Just curious though, who do you think would gaurd Karnowski, Sabonis, and Wiltjer if we played GU?

Who would guard them, or who would guard them well? The answer to the second question is likely no one.

Likewise, who would guard Kaminsky, Dekker, and Hayes?

I don't think we'd have a ton of luck stopping any one of them. Probably have to try our best with Venky, Bliz, and OG. Wisconsin is very talented. I'd just rather have to stop Kaminsky (7 footer listed at 234 but probably closer to 250), Dekker (6'9"), and Hayes (6'7") rather than trying to stop Karnowski (7'1" 300 lbs and 18th in the nation in FG%), Wiltjer (6'10" listed at 240 and a 45% 3-pt shooter), and Sabonis (6'10" and 5th in the nation in FG% and has a scarry scowl :x ).

Gonzaga just executes so well on Offense. They are still ranked 1st in FG% as a team. They have a lock-down guy in Bell, and most of their bench players would start for many teams in college.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hoping we would play Wisconsin IF we make the Dance, I'm just looking at the numbers and I don't like what they tell me if we play GU. I heard the Analyst calling the GU game tonight say there are only a few teams in America with GU's size. Kentucky was one of them and I can't remember the other. Anyways, if we make it I just don't want to play a team with a ton of size. All that being said, if we do have to play GU---bring it on!

From what I've been reading and what I've seen on TV, I think there's a great chance we get will get Gonzaga in Seattle. Saw a post on ESPN and USA Today. If that becomes the case... Let's rock and roll!

Everything I have watched or read today projects us as a number 15 seed and playing GU in Seattle. Good look.

i am still hoping our overall SOS and W/L record will put us higher than 15. Our RPI seems a lot higher than any of the current teams projected a 15 seeds.

After doing some more research, I think there a chance we could go as high as 13. I also saw that CBS Sports projects us as a 13 seed playing West Virginia in Portland.

Man, now USA Today has us as a #14 playing Northern Iowa. They've got some talent but I think we could take'em. I just don't see us getting a #13 though. A few weeks back I would have said a #13 was possible. I think a #14 is our ceiling but who knows. Anything better than a #15 would be ridiculous.!!!

It seems like there is a decent drop off between the 2s and 3s. There aren't any likely twos that look vulnerable, but there is some vulnerability in the threes.

I'd be ecstatic if we could open Friday in Portland...

Ooops! I meant USA Today has us as a #13 playing #4 Northern Iowa. CBS Sportsline has us as a #13 Playing #4 West Virginia.

are you kidding me? We couldn't have been given a better gift. this is one of the most winnable games we could have possibly asked for.

go eags!
