Brad Davis is in his first year as offensive line coach at James Madison University. His resume indicates success at Portland State. Anyone have an objective assessment of his tenure there and how the players felt about him?
My son was recruited by Davis. He was tough on the boys but had a relationship with each one. You can't argue our offensive success when he was here. He is missed...
I am familiar with one player that played under him. He was indeed tough, but I also believe he was fair. I never got the impression that the player didn't look up to his coach.
Davis always struck me as the epitome of a good positions coach. Hard, fair, commanding, and demanding. Not your best friend, but certainly not your worst enemy. Guys like that get the best out of of their players.
