Bring Back MAC!

Why would Lamb leave SUU for Weber? It Is a lateral move at best. Pay, facilities, budget, conference are all a wash. And oh yea we won last year! The only advantage might be reqruiting, but it is not like SUU has been loosing its reqruits to Weber the last few years. Living in Cedar is a much more attractive option than Ogden. He already told Weber he wasnt interested when Mac left, why in the world would he leave now for the mess you guys have up there. Sorry Cats but long gone are the days when Weber was a better option than SUU. See ya Oct 20th

Nothing against you Redrock, but this post is the most delusional post I have ever seen on this board. Pay is almost 100K better, facilities are far better, Weber's budget is almost twice SUU's, only reason SUU is in the Sky is because Weber went to bat for the Thunderbirds. YIKES I SOUND LIKE AN AGGIE!! I'm really excited for SUU to be in the Sky!! Welcome!!

Lamb, however, was never in the discussion to take over after Mac. The top five were: Rodderick, Smith, Eck, Fassle, and just for kicks, McGiven.

Anyway, with regard to Lamb and, more appropriately Bovee, neither would do what Smith just did. Lamb is a man of honor, and is loyal to his committments. Something PIGS and Smith don't understand very well. Also, Bovee wouldn't hire away a coach from a close, soon to be, conference school. Unlike Arkansas' inbred AD, he realizes how backdoor and malicious such a decision could be to a schools program, athletes, and community.

I never disliked Arkansas, I had an enjoyable experience there in 01, but things must have changed quite a bit in the 11 years since. I guess old southern honor, tradition, class, and loyalty are dead, and have been replaced by greed, the love of money and YANKEE carpet bagging. Glad I'm from the West. We stil believe in those things that men should aspire too have. We are true to each other and loyal to our community. Honor isn't just a word, or a punchline in a sentence, but something that we hold close to our hearts and are thoroughly committed to. Even though redrock is delusional, he and I would agree that us Westerners understand what it means when you make a committment and how important being True, Honorable, and Loyal to that committment is.

I'm glad that JUDAS Smith sold out his community, people, alma mater for 30 pieces of silver. His career has now been hung because of backhanded deals and dirty demeanor. The PIGS will be BBQed, shredded, and thoroughly digested by the SEC this Fall. At this time next year, all they will be is a huge pile of shit.

facilities are not a wash, not even close but that isn't a reason to apply for weber.

Claude E Lamb
Head Football Coach Athletics $94,832

Ronald Mcbride
Coach Weber State University $178,360

anyone know if john L was getting paid more than mac was? i would say doubling a salary is a reason to apply.

According to Tom Kirkland, who spoke with Bovee, Weber will almost certainly promote an existing assistant to head coach. And Coach Mac will not be coming back.

do we have much of a choice? its a bit late in the year to go find a coach.

Lets all be honest, Mac isn't coming back. The best we can hope for right now is that one of the coordinators will be made the interim coach and hopefully Weber can have a good season.
