Bring Back Troy

Not very surprising, but somewhat disappointing. I was really hoping he’d stick for at least two or three years before jumping ship. I saw somewhere that our failure to deliver on the FBS promise was a real issue for him, but that’s just something I read on the Internet, so who knows if that’s true.

HC Brennan Marion going to Colorado Buffaloes as the OC.
His tenure at each program on his resume has been brief. It was fun while it lasted.
Positivity is that he would have probably left next season anyways. Who knows. But it’s his track record.

Let’s collect that generous buyout clause money and bankroll this forward. Bonus we have UC schedule a series of games w Hornets.

Does this line up perfectly to bring back Troy Taylor?

Does Coach Kris Richardson get promoted to HC? Not sure he would even want that role?

Maybe he hire a great HC that brings many of his best players with him? Recruits recommitting now? Timing is Rough

Entertaining for sure!!

As much as this is more fuel to the dumpster fire and is really unfortunate for the players, particularly those that just signed yesterday… I find it a relief. Gimmicky fancy cars on the field during official visits, signing a 4-star QB at the last minute that ended up benched yet Conklin transfers, endless "Go-Go" branding, a one-dimensional run-only play style that racked up ground yards but really isn't satisfying football to watch, post-game rap concerts, etc. Yeah, some of these go beyond Marion but it's still part of the team's culture under his lead as HC. What a joke this has become.

Hopefully Sac gets a HC that can bring some respect and maturity back to the program. +1 For the title of this thread. I'd love to see Taylor back in Sac.

I would love TT to come back, but that probably won’t happen.

Other than a paycheck there is no upside to this program.

No administrative credibility, facility that has been condemned, with a track, no plan on a replacement other than wild goose chasing PR stunts and 71 mercenaries who will soon be gone.

Why would TT agree to come back to this? He is in the middle of litigation, so how focused would he be anyway? If he does come back don’t bring AT back.

Absolute $hitt show. My guess is MAC said no can do and that was the final straw for MB, but he may have had one foot out the door already.

Let's see how and quickly the Prez and the AD handle the crisis communications.

The portal is officially open for our players and for the kids that signed yesterday. Hold on

Without a schedule, it is hard to imagine how we move forward

Unfortunate but not surprising about Coach Marion. I didn't expect him to be here long but was hoping he'd be here at least 2 years. I enjoyed most of last year and while this team didn't live up to the hype or expectations, it was still a winning season. Going to Colorado as the OC is a significant step up in prestige and pay. If he can be successful there, he will be in a good position to succeed Deion when he retires/leaves.

No brainer move for Dr. Wood/Orr to reach out to Coach Taylor and offer him the job. Not buying the idea that this isn't an attractive position, especially if Dr. Wood keeps funding the football program at the clip he was during the Marion tenure. Dr. Wood/Orr need to move quickly though, time is of the essence.

This is exactly what we need. The only sustained football success we have had in the last three decades was with Taylor as our HC. He needs to re-establish himself as a HC and this is the perfect spot. I hope it happens.
