This is a really favorable home schedule. I hope the marketing gurus get on the ball and really start pushing Weber State sports. Honestly, I think the department should shoot for a 10K average for the season.
PLEASE, Im begging, lets not turn yet another thread into a "marketing sucks" thread. :lol:N.OgdenCat said:This is a really favorable home schedule. My predicted finish:
1. EWU 7-1 (losses - @ UM)
2. MSU 7-1 (@ EWU)
3. UM 6-2 (@ Sac St, @ MSU)
4. WSU 5-3 (@ EWU, @ UM, MSU)
5. Sac St 5-3 (@ WSU, @ MSU, EWU)
6. PSU 2-6 (MSU, @ UM, @ EWU, Sac St, @ UNC, WSU)
7. NAU 2-6 (@ PSU, EWU, @ MSU, UM, @ Sac St, @ WSU)
8. ISU 1-7 (@ NAU, PSU, UM, @ WSU, @ MSU, @ Sac St, EWU)
9. UNC 1-7 (@ ISU, WSU, @ UM, Sac St, EWU, MSU, @ NAU)
who do u have in the playoffs and what for our overall record?

josephpoint said:Yes, Sac State hosts Montana as the home opener after 3 road games
at
Oregon State
SUU
and
WSU
to open the season.
The Hornets have never beat Montana in 16 tries. Two overtime losses and several other close game.
Sac State also hosts EWU, a team the Hornets strangely have never beat in Sacramento.
And of course no wins for Sac in Ogden.
So lots of challenges to improve upon last year, the best since 1999 in terms of wins and losses.
The program has been improving and under the BSC radar for a long time. The foundation at Sac State is in place for most teams with $90 million in facility upgrades and support programs for student athletes . This includes a $90 million recreation center near the north end zone of the football stadium and a $12 football and track field hosue and $1 million field turf. I believe Sac State has the biggest athetic budget among BCS schools
due to sponsoring 20 sports, 6 more than the standard BSC sports. The Hornets have won 36 conference championships in the past 5 years in all sports. Besides the BCS, Sac plays men's soccer in the MPSF, baseball and gymnastics in the WAC, men's golf in the America Sky, softball in the PCSC and women's cres.
It's great to see all the physical improvements going on across the conference, including at Sac St. Eastern got new turf last year, and Weber and ISU are getting new turf this year. MSU is adding seats and making improvements, NAU has remodeled their dome, and PSU's stadium was just remodeled. EWU and Weber also have plans for further improvements. :thumb:josephpoint said:Yes, Sac State hosts Montana as the home opener after 3 road games

1. Eastern
2. State
3. UM
4. SAC
5. SUU
6. Weber
7. Poly
8. NAU
9. PSU
10. UC-Davis
11. UND
12. UNCO
13. ISU
WSU also finished tied for 3rd at 5-3 in conference.josephpoint said:The poll seems to typically reflect how the teams finished last season
Sac State did finished tied for 3rd with Montana last year at 5-3. The Hornets lost to Montana by 3 at UM, by 4 at EWU with 33 seconds left in the game and to MSU in overtime on the only missed field goal of the year before the monsoon game at UC Davis (a 1 point loss in a fumble fest) to end the year.
The Hornets are typically picked 6th or 7th so not sure where the thinking comes that Sac is always ranked higher.
The new field at WSU looks great.

That SUU game might be the best home game of the year.catcat said:with da Beast being back i am really looking forward to the suu game. suu's QB is going to be a payton candidate i hear.
