BSC Tournament Semifinals: UNC @ WSU

Just a guess ...
tickets sold were for the day, not for separate games. So the only way they could post a game 1 attendance # and a game 2 attendance # is if they were counting heads through the door before and during each game. Since I went to the first semi and stayed for the 2nd, I'm guessing I was part of the 1842 that was reported for the ND v PSU game.
Now my friends who came for the Weber game were counted in the 5228.
Maybe we should add the two #s together. That would put the total just over 7000.
Judging by the cars in the parking lot, I'd have to say 7000+ saw Weber beat No Co.

No way there were only 5228 at that game last night. WSUprof has the right formula. You've gotta add the early game numbers with the late game to get the accurate figures. You'd think athletics would have been smart enough to figure that out. The 1800 for the first game were not all UND and PSU fans. Actually very few of them were. I'd say no more than a handful. So that 1800 has to be counted toward the total number for the night game too. I agree with wsuprof.

As for the game. It was a battle. The Cubbies really wanted to beat the Cats. They finally played like the team they were capable of being. The team that beat Kansas State to start the season. If they would have played like last night all season, this tournament probably could have ended up in Greeley. Barden was a beast! He'll of a great player. He should have made the first team too. He is all tournament...that is for sure. But J-Rich, the Cubbie killer, struck again. He has always played well against the cubbies and last night was no different. He stepped up on the big stage and got it done. Now I'd love to see and even better encore performance tonight.

Best bucket of the season...Berry's layup that rolled in, in the closing seconds of OT. Should have been and an 1 but whatever. I can't believe he got that to fall. Yikes!! Incredible bucket.

Sorry, you guys will just have to go off on my pessimism or whatever you want to call it, but what are you drinking? Purple kool aid? I told my wife at the game and even texted to a family member who was not able to make it tonight that the crowd was not great and that it looked like 5K, maybe a little more. Those saying 7500 and 8000, I just don't know what your looking at. Both quarters behind baskets were pretty sparse, above the portals were relatively empty, the student side (not the traditional section) was pretty spotty, and everything below the portals was certainly not packed in. The "Pack" was filled in nicely, looked great all in white, and was vocal :thumb:

Is it Spring Break right now? It was also to be expected without discounted or giveaway tickets but I'm still a fan, I still support, attend, and cheer even though I can admit the DEC was only half full. I suppose (and hope) another 2K will get off their behinds, catch the excitement and make the championship game tomorrow.

Agreed, but great, loud crowd, especially the student section C! Way to go students! Disappointed in the visiting team fans showing, I think it was the smallest support I've seen in all the times I've been to the tourney hosted at the DEC. And at least Montana brought their cheerleaders. I expect there will be 7-8K tonight, not a near sell-out as some were saying.

Yes, agreed, the crowd was vocal and tonight's should be even more so and hopefully with several thousand more to send off our Seniors right! It's funny when the students overtake the cheerleaders with a different cheer and the cheerleaders look at each other, kinda shrug their shoulders, and join in  . The funniest, though, is when the Ogden City School District kids did the same thing to both the cheerleaders and students. Speaking of funny, the older crowd who were in my general area could hear the "hot dog Huff" comments and chant, and even started to join in one time. :lmao:

 :thumb: If it weren't true, it'd still be funny, but that's frickin' hilarious.
(Yes, I realize that I was bested by 8 year olds. )
