If they aren’t going to build a new arena in the foreseeable future, or expand the nest, can’t they at least give the nest a fresh coat of paint and hang up some banners or something? Banners acknowledging our conference mates and showing off past achievements would at least look nice and a little more collegiate. Also, taking down the extra hoops in the rafters will open the place up and make it seem bigger. The volleyball and basketball teams practice in The Well now anyways. Still think the Nest should go for something like Fordham has. About the same size but seats an extra 2,000.

Not an important issue at all, just has been bugging me. Tired of playing in a middle school gym, want a little improvement while we continue to wait for our basketball Mecca. Some aesthetic improvement never hurt anybody.

I agree. The renewed ambiance would also benefit VB and gymnastics.

Actually, they have repainted the gym and taken down all the apparatus hanging from the roof. They haven't added the banners, but it's a start in the right direction.

Actually the Volleyball team and Basketball teams both still practice in the Hornet Gym / Yosemite Hall facility. The WELL is designated for Student-Only use and Club Sport (volleyball) use on occasion.
