Bye vs WSU 10/4

It's awfully quiet.

I hope Weber can earn a W during this bye week in the form of working on the following:
1) Reducing the number of bonehead penalties.
2) Eliminating most fumbles.
3) Better play calling, particularly in the Red Zone.
4) Providing Smith some holes to run though.
5) Defensively, not giving up big plays at costly times-- early on it seem to be the run, vs SUU it was through the air.

There's still a lot of football to be played and still a chance to salvage a respectable 1st season. Four of five on the road sure hasn't helped the team or our excitement, here's to better days. GO WEBER!

Thank goodness WSU will NOT get ANOTHER "L" on the schedule this week. I am becoming increasingly down about this season. Here is why:
This schedule BLOWS (always has and will as long as Bovee is here)
Half the team is injured yet we can't get any updates as to who, what happened, and how long they are out.
Coach doesn't show up for the post game show when he doesn't want to.
Next years schedule BLOWS!!! It will take a miracle to win 5 games next year.
No mid-week coaches show. (Yeah i might be the only one who listened to it every week)
Wildcat Club lunches, what are they now once a month? :ohno:
WSU gave away FREE tickets to the home opener (and only home game to this point) which tells you how they currently value this program.
MARKETING!!!!
The players are still playing their asses off which is a credit to them and NOBODY else.
I could go on for days here, but screw it! :beer2:
Somebody PLEASE convince me there is hope for this program. The more I hear about how this athletic department is ran, the less I want to be a fan. :twocents:
Tarbox should be ashamed.

Plenty of hope for the program. The team is playing well and should have a few wins by now. However, the only thing we need to think about is getting a nice crowd and getting a homecoming victory. I'm proud of how hard the players are fighting. Keep it up and some wins will come!

Go Weber!!!

To validate some of the thoughts shared: Weber ranks 118th out of 121 on turnover margin in FCS. 115th for fewest penalties. But Billy is 3rd in passing yards, so purpleblood may have a point in hanging in there......I just don't know how much more I can take.

Additionally......NC, UND, and ISU are all showing marked improvement, while Weber continues to fall short of it's potential. It's getting more and more difficult to identify where any wins may come from this year.

I agree with a lot of this, especially the part about getting no info on injuries. Very frustrating.

It appears that Coach Hill has subscribed to Coach Whitinghams injury reporting policy. I don't like it either. We deserve to know at least a general idea of what is going on.
