Listening to the coaches call, Coach Barnum indicated that they have replaced the kicker with a new kid. He didn't give names or details, but it is pretty obvious that a change had to be made for now anyway. I never like to see a kid play his way out of a slot on the team, but I think that in terms of kickers, there is so much pressure on them, that a coach can do a kid a favor by sitting them down and letting them re-build confidence. He also indicated that the O line would be whole for the next game. He sounded like this team is hungry and the other big sky schools better be ready. I'm more excited about the potential for this team than I was at the end of 2016.

Agree with @GreenGiant. I think we will have the best Oline and one of the best (top3) defenses in the conference. We are going to be fine at QB. We have lots of options as our freshman grows. Feel bad for the young kicker but to out gain OSU 515-380 and lose because we can't kick (3 PATs and at least one short field goal instead of going for it on 4th down). Tough loss. But its conference that matters so lets play like we've shown we can. Let's blow that 9th place finish projection by coaches out of the water...

It actually was 2 PATs, we failed on a two point try, but I get your point. If there is an glaring deficiency with this team right now, it is the kicking game. The extra week should also give Eason extra time to get his head right. Two weeks before Davis and four weeks before the actual conference opener and, from what I've seen around the conference, I like our chances as well as anyone.

Yeah, you have to get Brosio out of there for PATs at this point. Two games, 0-3, with the two in the last game being critical. I think this kid will be a good kicker, but he probably isn't thinking about making PATs at this point, only missing. Hopefully a good bye week of practice, and we get put quite a few TDs in the endzone against UC Davis to get him in there for low pressure kicks to get his mind right.

The punting has been stellar thus far. Hopefully it should be for years to come. :-)

To your point, place kicking is a train wreck. :-(
