It will be fun to see a home game! I’m hoping for a good attendance game…more local players should mean more family and friends in the stands. Also, the good offensive game should bring in fans. I’m personally more of a defensive enthusiast. I love watching great defenses, but generally if you have one better side, it seems the offense draws more fans.

I expect a comfortable win with hopefully a chance for the second string to get valuable experience. Hopefully a chance to heal up before conference play starts back up.

Exciting time for sports: pennant chase in baseball, football starting up, and hockey and college hoops ready to start up in a few weeks. I love the fall weather and leaves…but will be patient and enjoy the last bit of summer.

Go Wildcats! (Go Cubbies!)

Looking forward to seeing & supporting the Wildcats in person. Hope at least 10K others will join in at Stewart (Discount of $5 on ticket price for 19th game/AFCU free tickets offer for PSU game...see Facebook posts). Showing support to a better product on the field (at least offensively) is exciting. Wildcats need & deserve a game like this right now & next week at home. Hope some healing & growing stronger happens to move forward. But also keeping some realistic patience going. Go Cats!

Some key big plays early and then just kind of cruised on to the win. I’m sure it might be easy to lose focus when it’s 21-0 that fast.

The pass defense, rush, especially is concerning. Designed QB keeper consistently were big yard gains. Lots of yardage given up to a team that is not good.

Missed FG and kicking out of bounds on kickoff were not good. Two pretty bad interceptions…just bad decisions to throw.

Offense will need to take longer possession times if possible to keep the defense rested.

I know it’s bad to complain about a 49-20 win…but no more gimmes on the schedule…and I have a tough time seeing this team put any team away in a game unless the defense improves drastically.

The next three games are big for Weber State. They are probably the better possible win matchups…with UTU being another one at the end of the year. I would say Idaho State, Montana State, UC Davis, and NAU are possible, but less likely. The injuries may becoming too much to deal with.

All complaints aside, they made big plays and jumped on a team they needed to beat.

Northern Colorado switched QBs and pulled off a near impossible comeback to break up Northeastern Oklahoma’s win streak. Big Sky didn’t show well today.

Two things are clear to me. Our O will just get better over the season and next year, and our D needs a ton of recruiting and development to get better. Some young players have stepped up on D, but not enough of them to make us good. Our needs on D are at every position. It may take more than one good recruiting year to get us to where we need to be on D. I don't have the same worries on the offensive side.

Around the league, MSU has shown its vulnerabilities, UM is adjusting to a new coach, ISU is on the rise, SUU is solid, UCD is solid, UI sucks, PSU is PSU, and EWU is EWU. MSU is still odds on favorite, but power seems to be shifting in the BSC. I can see us rising back up to the top of the BSC if we can put a better defense on the field.
