Cal game

Congratulations on an incredible performance by the Wildcats. No one will claim that Cal "played down" to a team that clearly kicked our butts! Your QB is a warrior - easily MVP of the game. So many opportunities to win, except for those turnovers. Cal HC Wilcox "not happy" with the Bears and as a result, we should get better thanks to your fanny spanking. I will now definitely be following the Wildcats for the rest of the season and must say, your boys played, hard, clean, and never gave up. Go Wildcats!

Thank you for the kind words 72. Cal fans are a class act! This past weekend was a great experience for our Wildcats and hopefully they can build off of that game. As for Cal, what was impressive was that they knew how to close out the Cats and get the W. Yes, I think Weber was the better team on Saturday, but Cal figured out a way to keep the game close, and then to pull away when they needed to. If it was another coach, I think Weber leaves the Bay with a W. Wilcox kept his guys playing. Cal is going to hit some bumps this year, but I think they are headed in the right direction. Good luck with Ole Miss this week. I'm cheering for another Cal W!!

As for the Cats...ugh...Turnovers!! Same curse different day.

What do you get for nearly knocking off a P-5 team? You drop a spot in both national polls. :ohno: :wtf: :willybs:

Yeah, no one looked at the game, just saw the 20-33 result and assumes Cal was using it as a tune-up game, not fighting for their lives. No one knows Weber led every quarter and after the first 3. No one knows Weber put 140 more offensive yards up than Cal or gained 5 more 1st downs. No one saw Weber give away a real chance to pull of the upset throughout the 4th quarter, despite being what? a 26 point underdog.

I just hope they're legit, I have a feeling they are. If they are, everything will work itself out fine.

When I looked at the Polls I just laughed. Lack of respect for Western Teams. If anything this loss should motivate the Cats. A win would have been nice, but a loss keeps our guys hungry and angry. They know they should have won on Saturday. And now, they are being disrespected for playing a great game and almost knocking off a P5 team.

Another take away from the CAL game was the lack of serious injuries. My biggest concern every time we schedule a payday game is that we throw away a few players for a long time. I don't recall any significant injuries on our side.
