Myself and five buddies (one of which is Hornut) are heading down Friday morning, we'll be camping at a local campground four miles from the field.

We are going to the pre-game BBQ as well.

i can't go, but if you go down thursday afternoon, there's a farmers market/food/music/barhopping night every thursday night which is actually a blast. but watch out for SLO cops, they're dinks. have a blast and go hornets!

I am planning on going down to SLO just for the day on Amtrak. Two options, lv Sac Amtrak on the train at 5:40 am to San Jose then Amtrak bus to Cal Poly arrives at 1:45, or take the 7:40 train to San Jose, then Amtrak Bus to Poly arrives at 3:45. The bus drop is only about a 1/2 mile from the stadium. Return pick up at Cal Poly 12:10 am, (plenty of time to celebrate the Hornet victory!) train gets into Sacramento about 9:00 am. The ticket is about $90.00 round trip. Sure beats the long boring drive to SLO, you can kick back and/or sleep most of the way! I haven't called about game tickets yet, has anyone heard how many are still available?

As far as your prediction - I think you've been smelling to many cows fumes!! I really can't see why you're so bold with the score? Your team lost all their skill position players from last year - a team that was so good it lost to a Big Sky team in the first round! Your conference is a JOKE, and now you have a coach that always found a way to waste the talent he assembled at Portland St. :lol:

I agree with you there OldHornet. Our Conf sucks. CP would probably leave sooner than later if we could get our new stadium off the ground. In all fairness both coaches haven't had success yet but Sperbeck has more pressure on him now that this is his 3rd year. This game adds more pressure on your team for recruitment purposes especially when they aren't scheduled to play each other next year. The depth on CP could make 2 D1 teams some skill positions from last year won't matter. It will be interesting to see who does a better coaching job in the game. It sounds like your team was outcoached. Leave your stingers in the car. Hung

Regardless, this matchup is almost always close, few blowouts over the years here and there, but the game usually comes down to the 4th qtr. Walsh is 12-1 vs. the Hornets, so his style must be something that works.
